Oh let me tell you sometimes for no apparent reason ATVs can really kick your butt. I've been working on this Honda FourTrax for days. Originally came in because it would die immediately when you put it into gear. Was not able to adjust the clutch play to make any difference. So with research determined that the secondary clutch assembly was at fault. Received a new one with new clutches the whole assembly. Took the case off... followed all procedures installed the new assembly put it all back together. now it won't even go into any gear whatsoever..
Have taken the side cover case off approximately five times now. Inspecting everything cannot find a reason for it. So reading multiple online forums it's very likely that the new Springs that came with the new assembly quite possibly are too long. Keeping the clutch assembly disengaged. So yippee I get to go back in again start measuring everything and find out what they shipped me.
