Meet the newest (and funniest) additions to our showroom: the Whimsical in Terracotta collection by Currey & Company! 🐾
Hand-crafted by emerging Thai artist Nhut Nhathawut, each canine sculpture features lifelike expressions and hand-tool strokes that make it feel as if it might bark at any moment.
Here are the stories behind each dog in the pack:
🐕 Sam the Mutt: a sculpture by the emerging Thai artist Nhut Nhathawut. His expression is so lifelike it feels as if he might bark at any moment. This includes the obvious strokes of the artist's tools that play along the surface of the dog's body. Brownlee Currey had some fun with this mixed-breed, describing his reality as, "There may be some bulldog in there, but Sam's mental and physical acuity is more akin to a potato than a sporting breed."
🐕 Oscar the Scottish Terrier: a sculpture by the emerging Thai artist Nhut Nhathawut. With an expression so lifelike it feels like he could bark at any moment, the canine sculpture shows several artisanal touches. These include the obvious strokes of the artist's tools that run along the surface of the dog's body. Brownlee Currey had some fun with this terrier, describing his reality as, "The aloof, intelligent, pure breed of our pack, he disapproves of everyone else's shenanigans. Unlike his namesake, he does not live in a garbage can and smells of fresh-cut hay."
🐕 Leonard Churchill the Bulldog: Broad, strong, and steadfast, Leo would rather be at home with family than appear as the mascot of your sporting event. Lazing about the residence, he does rather wonder what all those working dog types might be up to. Probably no good!"
Which personality belongs in your home? Come meet Sam, Oscar, and Leonard Churchill in person this week!
