Cutting a perfect circle is never easy. Cutting one that’s 80” across? That’s an engineering challenge.

What we don’t always see in a finished piece of art is the thinking, problem-solving, experimentation, and ingenuity that happen long before the tools ever touch the material. The hours spent figuring out how to make the medium do what the artist envisions are invisible to the eye, but they’re every bit as essential as the hands-on work itself.

At CS Woods, turning extraordinary wood into something extraordinary takes more than craftsmanship. It takes vision, creativity, and a little engineering magic.

The result? A spectacular 80-inch Claro Walnut round - and then a smaller round as well… destined to become the a one-of-a-kind table.

A good day at the office.

All my life’s a circle
Sunrise and sundown
The moon rolls through the nighttime
‘Til the daybreak comes around
All my life’s a circle
But I can’t tell you why
The seasons spinning round again
The years keep rolling by

Ere, in the northern gale
The summer tresses of the trees are gone
The woods of Autumn, all around our vale
Have put their glory on.

Some slabs are beautiful… and then there are slabs like this one. At 153” long and nearly 5 feet wide in places, this is a truly special single-slab dining table opportunity. The incredible figure, burl clusters along the live edge, and sheer scale make it the kind of piece that can become anything, but whatever it becomes, it is going to be very special!

THE WOOD SURFACE YOUR SPACE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR
Sometimes a beautiful room is still missing something. Not more decoration or another trend, but something natural, unexpected and completely your own.

A carefully selected wood surface can be that breath of fresh air. A live edge kitchen island, dramatic conference table, warm restaurant bar, welcoming entry, or beautiful desk can become the moment that makes an entire space feel finished. It brings warmth, texture and a connection to nature that manufactured materials simply can’t replicate.

And the best artist? Mother Nature. Every slab carries the story of a living tree—its seasons, growth, challenges and extraordinary beauty. No two pieces are alike, making each surface a truly unique work of art.

Move over, browns. There’s a new warmth taking the stage.
Rich, reddish tones are making their way into interiors, bringing depth, warmth, and a little bit of drama to spaces that are ready for something different. The familiar beauty of walnut and other deep browns now has some gorgeous competition: Sapele, Sipo Mahogany, and Bubinga are stepping into the spotlight.
These luscious woods glow with color and character. Their grain moves and shimmers, revealing layers of copper, cinnamon, amber, russet, and deep red that become even more beautiful as the light changes.
And the timing couldn’t be better.
Interior palettes are embracing colors that complement these natural tones—warm whites, earthy greens, soft creams, charcoal, terracotta, and other sophisticated shades that allow richly colored wood to become the star.
Durable, distinctive, and naturally figured, these species are ready for their next great project.
At CS Woods, our Sapele, Sipo Mahogany, and Bubinga are project-ready at approximately 6% moisture content, available in a range of sizes and ready to become the feature you’ve been imagining: a dramatic bar top, a warm kitchen island extension, a breathtaking sliding door, a statement table, or something completely your own.
Come wander the CS Woods open warehouse. Run your hands over the grain. See these colors in person.
You may just fall in love with red.
