Making the bikes we want to ride starts long before any components go on the frame. The Rascal is one of our favorites because it’s a do everything kind of bike, and the 130mm of CBF suspension is a big part of why. This trail machine is ready for everything you throw at it.

Earlier this fall, .miller907 and visited our carbon fiber manufacturer in Vietnam. We’re on the ground with our manufacturers regularly, but this time we brought our friends at along with a camera to capture some of the work behind building the best frames we can. One of those processes is the head tube drop test. It’s one of the more important ISO 4210 tests, and we go well past “industry normal,” then keep going because why not! The Ranger can handle a lot, because it’s fun to ride on a lot of different types of trails. At 120mm of travel it blurs the line of “downcountry,” but its geometry and suspension let you ride it really, really hard. So we built it to handle more than a lot of downhill bikes can, and this is one way we prove it.

We work closely with some of the best manufacturers in the world to make the best bikes we can! Normally this sort of stuff stays super secret in the bike world. But on our last visit, we decided to bring our friends at along with a camera to document a few of the behind the scenes processes that go into making our bikes. In this video, we pulled a Ranger from the production line, painted it white for testing, and ran it through our head tube drop test. This is just one of 13 destructive lab tests we do on all of our bikes, but it’s a fun one to watch so we figured we’d share!

We joined COMBA for a dig day at Virginia Canyon and built out the “Revel Line”. Thank you to COMBA for organizing the event, and to everyone who came out to dig 🤝⛏️

We had a blast on our roadtrip! We started at The Hotdogger in Fruita (which, if you haven’t been, add it to your list of must-do bike events), stopped in green river for some hike-a-bike riding, then headed to Moab for Outerbike which is another one of our all-time favorite events. It’s been fun showing this bike off to the world! We had a blast combining our carbon and titanium experiences into one bike and the feedback has been better than we could have hoped for. Ti is fly!
