Designed by Hans Hopfer in 1971, the Mah Jong sofa is an iconic model of the Roche Bobois collections, and offers total freedom of form and function. From three simple elements, stacked or juxtaposed, the Mah Jong allows for infinite compositions. Each cushion is entirely made and sewn by hand in a dedicated workshop.

On Thursday, October 15th, Roche Bobois in partnership with Galerie Magazine, welcomed guests for an evening celebrating the San Francisco Fall Show with a conversation on design, titled “Main Character Energy: Designing Homes with Personality and Panache.” Around 70 guests, including clients and designers, attended the momentous event.

The evening featured an engaging panel discussion with acclaimed designers Young Huh and Ken Fulk, along with Editor in Chief of Galerie Magazine, Jacqueline Terrebonne.

The DJ created a lively ambience throughout the showroom, while guests enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres and creative craft cocktails during the reception that followed. The evening seamlessly blended design, art, and dialogue.

On Tuesday, October 6th, Roche Bobois hosted a select group of clients for a private tour of Sotheby’s Contemporary Discoveries exhibition, led by Keith Lebel, Assistant Vice President and Specialist in the Contemporary Art Department at Sotheby’s New York. The experience offered a closer look at the works featured in the exhibition ahead of auction.

Following the tour, the guests continued the evening with dinner at Marcel, Sotheby’s new restaurant located within the iconic Breuer Building. Clients, designers, and members of the Roche Bobois team came together to share a memorable evening of conversation, connection, and mutual appreciation for art and design.

This reflects our commitment to celebrating the worlds of art and design, and always bringing people together through the French Art de Vivre.

Roche Bobois was proud to be the Official Furniture Partner of the second edition of Untitled Art, Houston, a contemporary art fair bringing together artists, galleries, collectors, and art enthusiasts to celebrate creativity and discovery.

Roche Bobois was delighted to bring the VIP and Collectors Lounges to life with some of the brand’s most iconic designs. Each setting was complemented by surrounding artwork, creating a dialogue between contemporary art and design.

The first featured the Pedro Almodóvar Lounge, Peppa cocktail tables, and the Mujeres rug. The second showcased the Pedro Almodóvar Bubble sofa in Soleil, coordinating Bubble armchairs, colorful Ovni Up cocktail tables, and the Atame rug. The third highlighted the Dream by Rockwell collection, including the sofas, rug, and ottoman, paired with Silver Tree cocktail tables.

Together, these distinctive compositions created inviting spaces for guests to gather and connect, celebrating the intersection of art, design, and contemporary living.
