We’re a small team of woodworkers in Waunakee, Wisconsin, building custom solid hardwood tables by hand, one at a time. We started in a 12x20 shed, and today we’re in a 5,500 sq ft warehouse. The size has changed, but not how we build: no particleboard, no veneer, no shortcuts.

Every table you see in this video started as an idea from a family who wanted something built for them. Their space, their wood, their finish, their way of gathering.

The biggest mistake people make when sizing a dining table? Not planning for the chairs. 📏

In the video, Carter breaks down the two rules that get it right:

1. Plan on 2 feet per chair. That’s the room each person needs to sit comfortably without bumping elbows. Count your seats first, then size the table to fit.

2. Leave 3 feet all around the outside of the table. That’s how much room chairs need to pull in and out comfortably, and for people to walk behind them. Less than that, and the table swallows the room.

Most store-bought tables come in a handful of fixed sizes, so you end up squeezing your space around the table. A custom table does the opposite. We size it to your room, your family, and the way you actually gather.

Introducing our newest base: the Tulip. 🌷

This one started the way our favorite builds do, with a fully custom request for something we’d never done before. We love when someone asks “can you build this?” and we get to say “let’s figure it out.”

Every custom request pushes us to learn something new, and the Tulip base is the result. It’s a brand new addition to our lineup, built by hand from solid hardwood like everything else we make.

Flashback to the old shop, building one of our most popular bases: the Jasmine base. 🪵

Here’s a behind-the-scenes montage of Carter building it in gorgeous walnut, back when we were still in the old shop. Every piece is cut, shaped, and assembled by hand, one at a time. No shortcuts, no particleboard.

The Jasmine base is still one of our most requested for a reason. It’s bold, solid, and built to hold up your table for generations. We love seeing how far it’s come since those early builds.

Another delivery to the La Crosse area! 🌲

This one went to Onalaska, and we love every trip out that way. Congrats to the Hayes family on their new Circle Court Idaho Table! It has an 18" extension, so the round top easily grows when the whole family comes over. We paired it with matching two-toned chairs for a look that ties the set together.
