π± Just a quick reminder about our regular mowing schedule and why keeping your scheduled service matters! π±
Here in Tennessee, mowing season generally runs from around April 1 through Thanksgiving πΎ, although weather and growing conditions can vary from year to year.
When we add your property to our weekly or biweekly route, we do not require a contract. However, we do ask that regular service continue unless you let us know in a timely manner that you would like to end service.
π² As a courtesy, we send a text reminder letting you know that we plan to be there the following day. This gives you time to unlock gates and move vehicles, toys, furniture, hoses, or other items from the yard.
We understand that Tennessee is currently experiencing drought conditions π§, and we are paying close attention. Surprisingly, many lawns are still growing and are perfectly mowable. We will not mow a lawn that genuinely does not need it, and we are certainly not going to scalp a lawn just to say we completed a scheduled mowing.
We monitor the weather, rainfall, temperatures, growing conditions, and forecasts π¦οΈ. As lawncare professionals, we use that information, along with the actual condition of your lawn, to determine whether it needs to be mowed when we arrive.
There is an important reason we ask customers to respect their regular schedule.
π° Our pricing is based on maintaining a consistent route throughout the mowing season. We work hard to keep our mowing prices consistent instead of constantly changing them based on weather and growing conditions.
For example, during a rainy stretch when everything is growing like crazy π§οΈ, we do not suddenly raise everyoneβs mowing price because it feels like we just mowed your yard two days ago. You pay the same agreed upon mowing price.
We ask for that same consideration in return during slower periods.
Letβs say we have 20 properties scheduled for a day and 10 customers decide to skip their mowing after we have already scheduled employees, planned the route, loaded equipment, and allocated fuel and other operating costs. We still have the same labor, fuel, insurance, equipment, maintenance, and business expenses, but we have suddenly lost half of the revenue that was supposed to cover that route.
That makes it extremely difficult for us to maintain the same pricing for everyone.
β
We are not asking you to have your lawn mowed when it does not need it. We are asking you to allow us to manage the mowing schedule as the professionals you hired. If we arrive and determine that your lawn genuinely does not need mowing, we will make that decision and adjust accordingly.
Likewise, if you know that you want to skip a mowing or discontinue service, that is absolutely fine π. We simply ask that you let us know before the crew is scheduled and on the way, rather than after receiving the courtesy reminder.
We believe this is a fair arrangement for everyone π€. We keep our prices as consistent as possible throughout the season, and in return, we need our customers to respect the regular schedule that allows us to operate a profitable route, properly pay our employees, cover operating costs, and continue providing reliable service.
We truly appreciate our customers and their business! π We are simply asking for the same level of respect and consideration that we strive to give every customer.
