A little behind the scenes as we got our T&T pieces ready for the S T R E E T E R Artisan Home Tour home this past week!

The home is just incredible you guys. A lake house in Orono that S T R E E T E R completely reimagined top to bottom. Honored to be part of such a special project!! Thank you to the amazing and talented bradfordhomecollective for including T&T in your vision. It came together beautifully and was such a joy to collaborate with you every step of the way.

Also, while I love all the pieces we placed in this home, the new Halstead coffee table (up and coming collaboration with the one and only Cambria Natural Quartz Surfaces!) is my true love. I’ll be honest, it was a slight miracle that this piece came together in time for the home, but it did and looks like it was made for this living room. Seeing it installed on Tuesday was a total pinch me moment - literally could not stop smiling :)

Little Orchard (R24, 2845 Little Orchard Way, Orono, MN 55391) is open today through Sunday - come see it all in person! Tour details at artisanhometour.org.

Wood carries its whole history before it ever becomes furniture. Every knot, every shift in grain, is part of what makes each piece its own.

We don’t design around that character. We work with it, and we let it show in the finished piece.

That’s why no two pieces from our Timber & Tulip collections will never look exactly alike. The character was already there before we started.

Every piece starts right here - with a stack of burl I hand-picked, a team that doesn’t flinch when I show up with a new idea, and a lot of time.

Handmade is slow. That’s kind of the point. We’d rather take the time to get it right than make something you’ll replace in five years.

This is where modern heirlooms begin. Explore our pieces at the link in our bio.

MJ is just a little bit excited about her table. Just a little!

She bought a new home, took it down to the studs, and is building everything from scratch. We are helping her create custom pieces that fit her organic modern style, and this dining table is the one she is most excited about. Honestly, same. The elevated yet cozy, want to snuggle in with a cup of coffee or a cocktail vibe we are going for in her dining room is totally my jam.

Stained burl with a few tastefully placed resin accents, a pair of custom furry benches that curve right along the edge of the table, plus stool and banquette seating to round out the look. It is going to be something special.

More to come as this project comes together!

Workshop days are the best days. We’ve got a handful of projects in the works right now, and there’s nothing quite like walking into the shop and seeing a sketch turn into an actual piece of furniture.

It’s also where I lay out every burl slab by hand, moving pieces around until everything looks juuuuuust right. The team has learned to be very patient with me :)

This is where our pieces come to life, and it never gets old.

I couldn’t do any of this without the talented makers who bring my crazy ideas to life. Every new design comes with a lot of back and forth - lots of “what if we tried this,” lots of brainstorming, and a lot of figuring out how we’re actually going to pull it off.

Sometimes when I bring a new idea to the shop, I get the sideways look and have to say “truuuuust me” :) And sometimes I get an immediate “that’s cool.”

The Cyrus Drink Table was the second kind - and I’m pretty obsessed with it too.

Available now in Antiqued Gold and Matte Black. Shop it at the link in our bio!

Bringing a new design idea to Jason is always one of my favorite parts of the process.

I come to him with the concept and we work through whether we can execute on it together. When the answer is yes, something like the Cyrus Drink Table is what comes out the other side.

The Cyrus Drink Table is now available on our website. Shop it at the link in our bio.

Thinking back to the first piece I ever designed. It was a walnut coffee table with two steel legs wrapped around the corners. It looked SO cool. It also had corners at perfect toddler-forehead height. I didn’t have kids yet - clearly.

But it’s the piece where all of this started, and it’s fun to look back and see how far Timber & Tulip has come.

Ten years (and two kids’ worth of perspective) later, every piece starts the same way - with an idea, a material, and a lot of thought about how to make it as durable as it is pretty.

Stick around - a few new designs are coming that might be my favorites yet. Very excited to share with all of you!
