We are completely captivated by how this master bedroom layers texture and tone. The cool-toned bedding, plush bench, and custom headboard panels form the ultimate quiet luxury oasis. But it is that magnificent, sprawling canvas by Tomo that completely wakes up the room bringing a rich, tapestry-inspired energy that balances out the serene blues.

This is the view from Johnny’s family home. We all gather here for our annual tradition: hikes, dirty jokes, big family dinners, and doing absolutely nothing.
 
Johnny’s grandfather built this house in 1915, and it hasn’t changed since — no heat, no AC, and no insulation. I’ve traded my southern wardrobe for long underwear and fleece, but one look at this harbor view and it’s worth every chilly minute.
 
Tonight, a gorgeous antique boat rolled in to dock, refuel, and restock — likely the pride and joy of a private family. The family motors around the harbor in small boats, hopping between the best lobster and clam eateries on Mount Desert as well as venturing out to the many small islands for hikes and picnics. 
 
Mornings start early, listening to the lobster boats heading out to check their pots and Taps echoing across the water from the Coast Guard station. By dusk, the boats are all coming home. This is a real working harbor and a place we look forward to coming back to every summer.
