Quickest way to judge a vintage dresser: pull out a drawer and look at the corners. Hand-cut dovetails usually mean someone took their time on the parts you'll never see.

Open the center drawer and there's a second, smaller drawer inside it: a finger-jointed tray that slides back and forth over the felt. Somebody made a drawer for their drawer.

Under the seat there's a paper label from Kocséri MG. TSZ., an agricultural cooperative in Kocsér, Hungary. Hungarian farm co-ops in the socialist era took on all kinds of side work, from canning to making shoes. This one made chairs.

The swirl fabric is original, and we think it's the best part. $950 for the pair.
