The Mother In Law Suite/ Studio

The Studio/MIL suite is 98% done! We "finished" at the end of August and a lot still needed to be finished at our goal date, all minor things of course. As of today, there is one project left to be finished, which is the doors that belong on the cabinets. Summer

It's been a summer. It's had it's ups and some sad downs, but we're doing good. Kiddos are about to start college again, so summer is coming to an end soon. One thing we did back in May, was move the hydrangeas to the side of the house and added a new one. This is the new one we got at Al's and it started as sticks and into this within a month or so....

Another NEW item I made was a Hair tool bag for Ems. She wanted her curling iron, shark hair tool and diffuser to fit in one bag, when she traveled so I made this bag. I made two more before it, but they were EH...the third photo is the second one I made and nothing is wrong with it, I was just wanting one that had a little more stiffness, so I used foam batting. I used quilt batting in between the fabrics for the 2nd one, it even fits more stuff in. I will be selling both options on my website soon.

What have I've been up to the last couple months. 1) Made another baby quilt for my cousin. Construction theme fabrics. I can't remember the brand for the fabric, but if you need them I'm sure I can find them. I got them at Montavilla Sewing in Lake O. 2) Built our first fence. Making some changes around the house and first up is outside while the weather is HOT. We took out a big long stretch of bushes we had here. The Bobcat made it very easy to remove. First pours weren't perfect but we got the hang of it as we went. I nailed the pickets up before I screwed them all on. That went real quick! Then I made the gate. For our first time I think we did pretty good.

I've been working on this quilt since January. I finally just pulled it out and finished the top. This one is for my daughter. The star was the hardest part of this quilt and they came out pretty good for my first time. Now I need to start making my binding then start basting. Also...Hi!! I know it's been a while. Life has been busy in a lot of different ways.
