In addition to traditional frames, I have built and sold many sizes of floating frames
There are pictures on this page of everything I’ve built and sold, picture frames and more

8”x10” picture frames.
These are made from beetle kill pine and Douglas fir. The Douglas fir originated as slabs from Badger Logging. The beetle kill pine, I slabbed from logs.
The slabs are planed, and sanded. Then I burn them and finish with at least 3 coats of polyurethane for finish
I have several picture frames available for sale Twin Flame Gallery in Victor, CO
These frames are sold but custom orders are always available. I have pictures on this page of the various picture frames I’ve made and sold over the years. Price varies according to size. Multiple purchase discount applies.

Here’s the final result. 6 footlockers made from reclaimed wood. The wood has been planed, sanded, burned and multiple coats of polyurethane for the finish. 3 of these have removable trays and 3 do not.
The plaques are live edge for from , in Lake George, CO. My wife did that artistry. She designed the graphics and then burned it into the wood. The plaques are also given 3 coats of polyurethane
Custom orders available. Havels Wood Shop doesn’t just do footlockers. Price varies according to item, size, finish and the amount of woodburning art requested.

‘Tis the season. I’m just about caught up on orders soooo

They’re all custom. You can pick the face, color, size, etc.
I’ve sold a lot of these guys in the past.

The lighting are little battery powered discs available at Walmart and Amazon. I believe they are 3” in diameter.

This is a “footlocker” made from pallet wood. It’s #5 of a 6 part order.
I’ve built and sold many of these. Some people are nervous about pallet wood so here goes….all of the pallets I use are heat treated, not chemically treated. As far as I know the methyl bromide that used to be used has been has been illegal for decades. Who knows what China does. It’s ok. I get my pallets from a local business that is highly trusted by the community. Every pallet is heat treated
My process is to plane and sand the boards. This removes the top 1/8”-1/2” of the surface. Then, I burn them and seal them with polyurethane. Whatever chemicals were there should have been taken care of by my lungs
This one is approx. 38 1/2”Wx20”Dx18”H. All orders are custom for color, size, and style. I do “color wash” as well. 2 toy boxes I made for my Grandkids are still intact after several years of abuse.
I’ll have pics in a couple days of a slightly larger box with a removable tray.
I do all kinds of things from live edge slabs and reclaimed wood, pallets, cedar fencing, etc
Lemme know what I can make for you. 🏔️👍😊

Facebook said I haven’t advertised in 22 days. I don’t really have anything new but here goes
My wife and I were in MT. We built a house off grid out there. We get out there as often as we can. I’m researching solar to figure out how to power it
We returned to CO yesterday and I went pallet shopping today.
The dogs love MT, just like us
Custom orders always available.

This is one of the large boxes with a tray.
I’ve got 4 boxes done so far. 2 more to go.
These will be “horsemanship” awards for a local ranch where girls learn and perfect their “horsemanship skilz”
My wife did the writing on the plaques. She draws a template in pencil and then traces it with a wood burning iron. I’m the builder. She’s the artist.
If you don’t need a big footlocker, maybe I can convince her to design a plaque for you?😊
The customer is happy. That makes me happy.
I never have written plans for these things. The customer tells me what they want or shows me a picture and I try to make it.
Custom orders are my favorite anxiety. Price varies according

I finished building this one a couple days ago but I’ve had tornado watch. That’s what I call Grampas daycare. That’s pretty witty, right?🤣.
Blanket box/foot locker #3 is complete. This is part of a multi-order and spoken for but I can make more…
The box is made from reclaimed wood. Specifically, it used to be a few pallets. I disassemble them, sand the the wood, measure, measure, cut and then reassemble them into this. Every board is screwed and glued from the inside so no fasteners are visible from the outside. This one is approx. 37”Wx18”Hx18”D. Woodburning and poly for the finish.
All orders custom made for size and color. Price varies according to size.
