Good evening friends. I turned a purple bottle opener handle tonight. This dye is really dark maybe after I use up some more purple and add some clear to lighten it up a little. Take a peek. I hope you like it.

Good morning friends. Recently I've dye stabilized some pieces with purple resin. They were under vacuum for 14 hours then soaked for about 26 hours. I've since baked them to cure properly. Hopefully I'll have some time this week to turn them the really see how they came out. Thanks for looking and stay tuned.

Hey y'all. I was in the middle of recording a video and my camera stopped because of storage space. I guess I need to delete footage after uploading it. I mixed up some orange and yellow resin to cast the remaining barbados pine cones. I will post a picture in about 6 hours when I demold them.

Hey yall. Blanks are still soaking. I'll pull them out, let them sit then bake them to cure the resin around dinner time tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Hey y'all. These are the 18 pen blanks I got from Indonesia. These are going to be some beautiful pens when they get turned. I might dye some of the white ones. I haven't decided yet. The purple pieces are almost done in the vacuum chamber and ready for a 24-36 hour soak.

So many people talk about an end grain glue joint being the weakest joint. A couple people told me this cutting board design wouldn't last. Correction to this video, its been just about 9 years not 10 since I made this. It gets used about 3 or 4 times a week, washed every time with soap and water. Gets washed maybe 4 times just over the weekend. If the end grain joint is prepared properly its just as strong of a glue joint as a face/edge grain is.

Hey friends. I got some new blanks to play with. More Big Leaf Maple and Mango and some Timborana from Central America. I'm thinking of dying some purple pieces this weekend for some new pens and bottle openers.
Oh yeah, I got new hats in too. Women's criss cross ponytail hats too. Hats prices went up a little since last year. $30 ea
