工場での検品に加え、撮影時にも細部まで確認を重ねる、徹底した二重検品。

表と裏、そのすべての表情を記録し、ECサイトへ掲載しています。

We carefully photograph each of the approximately 200 solid wood planks produced each month, one by one.

In addition to the quality inspection conducted at the factory, we conduct a thorough double inspection by carefully checking every detail during the photography process.

We document every aspect of each plank—both the front and back—and post the images on our e-commerce site.

【ミズメザクラの製材風景】

長野県 木曽郡王滝村・王滝国有林産 ミズメザクラ

森の中で群生せず、一本一本が離れて育つミズメザクラ。

周囲の木々との厳しい競争を生き抜き、家具材として使えるほどの大径木へ育つには、200年以上の歳月が必要といわれています。

そのため、一枚板として流通する幅広のミズメザクラは極めて希少です。

今回は、そんな貴重な原木の製材。

鋸を入れた瞬間に現れる、美しい杢と木目。

長い年月をかけて育まれた自然の美しさが、初めて姿を現す特別な瞬間です。

Mizumezakura from Otaki Village, Kiso District, Nagano Prefecture—Sourced from the Otaki National Forest

Mizumezakura trees do not grow in clusters within the forest; instead, each tree grows separately.

It is said that it takes over 200 years for a Mizumezakura tree to survive the fierce competition with surrounding trees and grow into a large-diameter tree suitable for use as furniture lumber.

For this reason, wide Mizumezakura planks sold as single slabs are extremely rare.

This time, we’re sawing one of these precious logs.

The beautiful grain and wood pattern appear the moment the saw cuts through.

It is a special moment when the natural beauty, nurtured over many long years, reveals itself for the very first time.

YouTubeをきっかけにアトリエ木馬にご縁をいただいたお客様の納品事例。

当初は120cmサイズをご検討されていましたが、展示されていた220cmの一枚板をご覧になった旦那様が一目ぼれし、運命的な出会いから予定を変更してお選びいただいた一枚。

220cmのトチ一枚板は、ほかの樹種には見られない独特な曲線美と、トチの中でもひときわ美しい木目が特徴で、ワンポイントに施された透明レジンが木の個性をより一層引き立てる一枚です。

吹き抜けのある開放的な住まいだからこそ、大判サイズでも圧迫感がなく、空間の主役として美しく調和しています。

住まいへのこだわりと一枚板の豊かな表情が見事に融合し、世界に一つだけのダイニング空間が完成しました。

A project showcase featuring a client who discovered Atelier Mokuba through YouTube.

Initially, they were considering the 120cm size, but when the husband saw the 220cm single slab on display, he fell in love with it at first sight. Inspired by this fateful encounter, they changed their plans and chose this piece.

This 220cm single slab of horse chestnut features a unique, curved beauty not found in other tree species, as well as a grain pattern that is exceptionally beautiful even among horse chestnut varieties. The transparent resin applied as an accent further enhances the wood’s individual character.

Because the home features an open-concept design with a double-height ceiling, even this large-format slab does not feel overwhelming; instead, it harmonizes beautifully as the focal point of the space.

The homeowner’s dedication to their home and the rich character of the solid wood slab have merged beautifully, creating a dining space that is truly one of a kind.

小さな割れを一つひとつ丁寧に埋め、荒々しい樹皮も何度も手で触れながら、心地よい質感へと仕上げていきます。

クレンケンが持つ豊かな表情を最大限に引き出すために。

Countless beautiful shrunken grain patterns.

Because this is an unknown type of wood with no precedents, we rely entirely on the experience and intuition of our artisans.

They carefully fill each small crack one by one and, by repeatedly touching the rough bark by hand, refine it into a pleasant texture.

All to bring out the rich character of the Krenken wood to the fullest.
