Throwback to our birthday celebration at the Ballito Junction showroom. 🎂
A year in, we wanted to celebrate with the people who have supported us, and we wanted to do it in a way that felt like Melonwoods. So instead of speeches, we gave everyone a solid wood board, a stencil, some stain and a torch, and asked them to make something of their own.
There were pizza slices, kitchen scripts, florals and a lot of concentration. Some guests wiped on the stain and watched the grain come alive. Others burned in their designs with a steady hand and a glass of something cold nearby. By the end, every board was different, and every one of them belonged to the person who made it.
It tied back to the idea we build everything around: choose once, choose well. A piece you have a hand in is a piece you keep, whether you make it at a table in our showroom or choose it for your home.
Thank you to everyone who came and made the afternoon what it was. We are only getting started. 🤍
Which design would you have burned into your board?
