And the above phrase we have heard so many times during the last 36 years. It is not becoming popular again. It has always been popular. It is just new people discovering or rediscovering cane, rattan and wicker furniture again.
Styles and designs of cane, rattan and wicker furniture have changed over the last 100 years or more, but certain facets of cane, rattan and wicker will always stay in vogue or make a comeback in a new design.
The lines have become cleaner and more sculptured, but older design features are being incorporated in modern designs, bringing back nostalgic feelings from days gone by.
Natural cane, rattan and wicker adds warmth to any décor setting and the handcraft of the cane, rattan and wicker furniture adds a human touch to any decorating setup.
Modern designs are incorporating cane and rattan with wood, metal and upholstery.
Cupboard doors are made with panels that have been covered in a variety of cane and rattan mesh to help with aeration, whilst adding old world charm into modern designs. Mesh panel cupboards can be utilised in the bathroom, bedroom, study or even the kitchen.

Tasha of the Tasha's group of restaurants came to the factory to see how her chairs for her new restaurant chain, Arlecchino, is progressing.
She met the staff that manufactures the furniture and she met CANEWORLD's longest serving staff member. General retired last year, but after 6 months at home, he decided that he is still to young to retire. And sitting at home as a retiree, is far to boring. We like to think that he just missed his family at the factory.

It is very satisfying when you sit back and look at all the installations that we have done over the last 36 years.
It is a bit of a memory trip, thinking of all the various custom items for some projects, the chairs for the restaurants, the special items for public areas. Then you realise what has been accomplished over the years. The staff that have put in effort for every piece that has been made.
