The Pot Luck Club & Gallery has launched the PLC Winter Feast, a communal lunch concept inspired by Luke Dale-Roberts’ travels in Asia. Served in imported Japanese ceramics, the meal unfolds in three generous waves—cold starters, warm mains, and dessert—designed to foster connection and winter comfort.

The experience begins with dombolo-inspired bread dumplings and Malay-style prawn tacos, followed by heartier dishes like tonkatsu, Sichuan beer-braised duck and kingklip tobanyaki. To finish, guests enjoy Japanese cheesecake with poached strawberries and roasted sesame ice cream.

This table-buffet format captures a passion for seasonality and shared dining for R695 per person.

This winter, The Test Kitchen Fledgelings introduces a playful, street food-inspired à la carte menu for lunch and dinner. The format is intentionally casual and flexible, encouraging guests to share a variety of dishes—ranging from mushrooms on toast and Korean fried chicken to fish tacos and lamb kebabs.

Perfect for relaxed get-togethers or family-style dining, the experience allows for a seamless transition between light small plates and more substantial dishes. These flavour-forward options are priced between R70 and R275 per person.
