Finished this little set today. What a trick. the dots on the tops are actually the end grain of the legs that pass through the top and are left exposed. Again no nails or screws, just turned, notched and glued joints. Very tricky to get a seamless finish on the dots with a sprayed top, what a process, but it worked out perfect. Job done...

Part of the ash consignment. this little 6 seater was completed today. Finished with oil and waxed to a shine. the M&T joints were taken right to the end of the boards and left exposed - just noticeable on the table top end grain

This no nails and no screws thing is getting complicated. All the joints on this coffee table were either notched to take another section, turned to fit in a hole or slotted or grooved together. it was then glued, assembled, squared up and clamped in one quick maneuver. the result however, i hope will be great. i'll find out tomorrow when the clamps come off? This is also part of the Ash consignment..

I did this room as a present for a very special little girl. But don't get any ideas people, you have to be incredibly special to get a free make over like this! i had so much fun designing, fabricating, installing and fitting. it included the split matching Oregon Pine window frames below and above the mezzanine. Still need to service the original Sash Window tho, it is over 100 years old. The desk has a gelcoat surface - tough as nails, perfect for a little girl to scribble on paint on or just about anything. The tiny downlights were a great find, she calls them stars

Just thought i would say thanks to BASF for unbelievable paint systems. Its the only paint company i use. Leagues ahead of the rest - http://www.basf.co.za/ecp1/SouthAfrica/en/, specifically BASF Salcomix 2K acrylic, designed to withstand harsh exterior conditions, it will last forever in your home adding long lasting vibrant colour.

A floating entrance desk, solid ash, with pigeon hole wine racks. added the partition and angled door for crawl space. You can never have enough storage space, especially when it comes to fine wine...:)

The A-V units were still awaiting cable management. I added a feature to the unit which brought the unit forward off the wall leaving a void behind the 16mm back board for cables to be hidden in. the sides and top conceal the void by running all the back to the wall.
