What’s on the table…

A few unusual things at Artefect at the moment.
- Swedish sheepskins in their natural colours. Thick, longhaired and so soft. Such a statement.
- a pair of ‘smoke finished’ signed pots.
- a decorative statement table made from items from the Tuareg culture.
- amethyst crystal lamp.

Views from around the shop. See how we’ve hung a mirror in front of a tapestry in our room.

Proof that we love Indigo at Artefect. The story of indigo goes back centuries and I’m fascinated by the process of dying in indigo. All these scatter cushions are made from antique handwoven fabric done on narrow hand looms and the yarns have been dyed in the traditional way. All from West Africa. Look how beautiful they look with any interior. Ralph Lauren eat your heart out!

Here are a few of our uniquely designed pieces. They’re all one of a kind and have been designed around the exclusive wall coverings that have been adapted to produce the most wonderful hero pieces in the room.

What sets our linen range apart is our choice of curated bespoke dyed colours, developed exclusively for this collection. Each tone has been carefully considered to complement interiors moving beyond standard shades to offer something truly distinctive. Particularly of note are our ever popular quilts.

Another day, another collection of photos.

You won’t believe this story😂. During the last few weeks we have had a pair of black starlings fly into the front showroom, ever so silently, to help themselves to our famous dried flower chandelier arrangement!!! No doubt for their nests. I can’t tell you the mess they make on the furniture. Eventually a client suggested putting an owl at the entrance and it just so happened I had a taxidermy owl at home and did just that. Guess what? No more 🦅
