This chest of drawes is originally from Mr Price and surprisingly is real wood but was looking a bit sad . I think we managed to give it a new look including filling up the cut out handles and using cup handles . What do you think of this transformation ?

It was really good to do a comm for a young couple . They brought this table to be painted all over but I persuaded them to give the beautiful oak a chance . They were thrilled with the outcome . Hope they tell their friends all about Simply French , as I would like to more work for this generation. Annie Sloan Athenian Black and our signature finish using Country Grey on the top .

It is wonderful to do work for a returning customer . Ten years ago we gave this patio table a make over and now we have given it another makeover to now be used as boardroom table in an office space with lots of white . This little cupboard has been part of my life for over 60 years. It was the first thing I saw as I walked into my granny’s little thatch weekend 100 year old farm house on the Vaal River.
I spent every weekend there growing up, and later made more beautiful memories there with my own children, so this vintage cupboard holds so much sentimental value for me.
At the moment it has found a place in the bathroom of my cottage. And knowing me… it may just get painted again one day soon !
