But it wasn’t only the exceptional works of art, sculpture, photography and embroidery that made the day. It was Joburg in all its finery! The people, the fashion, the energy, the vibe… was just incredible.

Days like this remind you why Joburg is fast becoming the cultural capital of South Africa. There is so much creativity and energy in this city and we absolutely loved being part of it!

So my hubs and I took a 1 hour 25 minute drive to my favorite escape from our city
Walking through the gate onto their estate is transformative.
The silence & peace is sublime.

A gentle knock at your door with
Coffee and tea to wake you up each morning on a delightful tray , delicious breakfasts and dinners, boutique wines, turned-down beds every evening,heated bathrooms and we had an outdoor shower.
Tea with scones and thick farm cream in the afternoons is not to be missed .
The walks are beautiful short or long, we climbed right to the top of the Magaliesberg.
Close to Joburg and just 29 km from Lanseria Airport, Quiet Mountain is the perfect escape.
