We recently freshened up these curtains in this study in Johannesburg by adding sheer weave blinds.

The installation was quite technical as I wanted to ensure that there would be no day light between the existing curtain rod and the blinds. This meant a complete reinstalation of the rod and rail to be fixed to the ceiling as opposed to the window mullion. Along the way we repaired the pulley system and we have a delighted client for a good day's work.
