The transformation is complete! Beautiful new entrance to the nursery using low maintenance waterwise plants. We added a large pot as a focal feature and built a retainer wall for added height and additional planting space

Inside & Out
Beautiful spaces have always inspired me. I love anything to do with properties, home decor and garden design. On holiday or over weekends you’ll find me relaxing, with my feet up, totally engrossed in a home decor magazine or scrolling through the latest properties for sale online. My surroundings and how they make me feel are important to me. I’m the one who points out the lamp in the room behind the actors whilst watching a movie or the flower on the side of the road whilst on a game drive! Family and friends notice the changes in my own home as I’m constantly moving furniture around, re-positioning accessories and working in the garden.
I co-owned and managed an Assisted Learning School for many years. My business partner and I built the school up from scratch and we are very proud of the impact the school has had on the many learners who attend and the valuable input our teachers have had on the learners’ growth and development.
During these years of working, I started to study part-time and develop my passion. I’ve completed several courses including: Interior Decorating, Garden Design, Plant Material Studies, Landscaping Business Management and Horticulture. I believe that we should never stop learning, growing and developing new skills. Towards the end of 2017, after making the difficult decision to sell my business, I took the plunge and started Inside & Out. I am thoroughly enjoying the new challenges I face everyday. The greatest reward has been the satisfaction of successfully completing a job in a new client’s garden or home and the delight expressed by those clients with the rejuvenated spaces.
Home staging, another service offered by Inside & Out, is a valuable marketing tool used when selling properties. It is well known and successfully used in many countries around the world and is slowly gaining interest in South Africa. Buyers and Estate Agents are starting to see the value in staging their properties before placing them on the market as they will sell for higher amounts in a shorter time frame. Property flips have also become an interesting sideline for my new business venture. Inside & Out, together with Gomes Design (www.gomesdesign.co.za), successfully renovate older or neglected properties, found in good areas, within a short space of time and place them back on the market for new owners to enjoy.
