Measure Twice, Cut Once A family-run woodworking business specialising in custom-made furniture and wooden projects.

My passion for woodwork is a legacy that was handed down to me from my father. I have always enjoyed the ability to be independently creative by using my own hands to craft something useful or simply to admire. Wood comes in so many different forms – in its natural state the different types of timber have unique qualities of their own and it thrills me to see the beautiful grain enhanced by shape and a quality treatment. My father taught me to be patient and accurate – “Measure twice, cut once”, was a motto I learned from him and such things as drilling pilot holes and countersinking screw heads, using the square and the scribe, as well as the correct way to handle a chisel and mallet are skills I have been blessed to learn and hopefully pass on to my son.
