Why is Operationalising Living Labs delivered live?

Because every Living Lab operates in its own context. One run by a city hall faces different questions from one in a university or a rural community, even when the topics are the same.

A live training makes it possible to respond to those differences. Participants can ask questions throughout each session, and the discussion follows the Living Labs represented in the group. The result is a training tailored to the people taking part, not a single answer for everyone.

Designed and delivered by Dr. Toñi Caro and Francisco Albalá from Eoh-for-Good, the training covers operational workflows, governance models in practice and resource management, with practical tools and hands-on exercises.

Urban Future. 2027 is calling urban changemakers aged 30 or younger to its Young Leaders Programme at the Istanbul Planning Agency Campus on 6 April 2027. The day brings skills sessions with experienced changemakers, and includes access to the Urban Future Conference, 7 to 9 April.

ENoLL is a partner of Urban Future 2027. If a Living Lab works with young people on urban innovation, please pass this on to young team members and co-creators.

Smart City Expo World Congress opens in Barcelona on 3 November and runs to 5 November 2026, with more than 27,000 professional visitors expected from 138 countries.

Meet the trainers behind Operationalising Living Labs.

Dr. Toñi Caro is CEO and Founder of Eoh-for-Good. Francisco Albalá is its Co-founder and Training Coordinator. Their work starts from a simple idea: "We believe in the transformative power of people."

That idea shapes this new Powered by ENoLL training. The sessions are highly interactive, participants are encouraged to ask questions throughout, and the focus is on practical content that can be applied straight away in their own Living Lab.

Over three live online modules, Dr. Toñi Caro and Francisco Albalá will work with participants on operational workflows, governance models in practice and resource management.

Who is Operationalising Living Labs for?

Anyone whose work depends on a Living Lab running well. That includes Living Lab managers and practitioners, innovation consultants and researchers, project coordinators in local authorities, research institutions and European funded projects, and policymakers working on open innovation.

Each of these roles sees the daily running of a Living Lab differently. Working through the same questions together, live, is one of the strengths of this training.

It is open to everyone, with special discounts available to ENoLL Members, and is relevant for participants who already understand the Living Lab approach.
