What does the data tell us about the European asphalt market today?

The production in 2024 is the lowest recorded in the last 3 decades, with the only exception of the year 2014, which was the lowest point after the financial crisis of 2008.

This situation calls for an urgent shift toward sustained financial commitment, long-term strategic planning, and coordinated policy efforts to preserve, modernise, and future-proof the essential European road network.

📍 EAPA Committee Meetings in Bologna! 🇮🇹

A productive few days bringing together experts from across the European asphalt sector!

From technical developments and sustainability to health and safety, environmental matters and industry collaboration, our committees exchanged knowledge, reviewed ongoing activities and discussed priorities for the sector.

This time, the programme also included a visit to Asphaltica, organised by SITEB, alongside opportunities to network and connect with industry colleagues.

These meetings reflect the strength of the EAPA community, bringing together professionals who share their expertise, address common challenges and work towards shared goals.

A big thank you to all committee members for their active participation and valuable contributions!

EAPA’s Committee Meetings are bringing our members together for three days to exchange ideas, share expertise and discuss the key topics shaping the European asphalt sector.
