Starting as a small family workshop specialising in upholstery, the foundation stones of Wendelbo were laid in 1955. Six decades and three generations later, the story of the Danish family with a strong dedication to design continues to unfold and prosper. Today, Wendelbo is an international design company fusing uncompromising upholstery and complementing design icons. While paying homage to the Danish design heritage, we differentiate ourselves by remaining unrestrained towards rigid design directions. Collaborating with acclaimed international designers, our collection bridges skilled craftsmanship, supreme quality, and a sophisticated international design signature - thereby fostering a refined idiom transcending borders and boundaries.

Designed by Hlynur Atlason, the Atli Lounge Chair combines an oversized tubular steel frame with generously padded upholstery to create its bold, distinctly modern silhouette.

Behind the seemingly simple expression lies a technically demanding upholstery process. The padded forms must be shaped and fitted with great precision around the exposed frame, while concealed internal zips in the arms and back help create the tight, tailored finish that defines the chair.

The result is a design where scale, structure and upholstery are closely connected – balancing strong architectural lines with softer, more sculptural forms.

With its low-slung silhouette and softly contoured lines, the Ridge Sofa invites you to sink in. Designed by acclaimed Norm Architects, Ridge balances quiet elegance with an indulgent sense of comfort. True to Norm’s design philosophy, Ridge embraces a soft minimalism where every detail serves a purpose.

Generous upholstery lends the design a relaxed, lived-in character, allowing the textile to drape naturally and form soft folds that enhance its inviting expression. A single fl**ge edge running along the top draws the eye, forming a subtle ridge that defines the silhouette and lends the sofa its name.

Extending the distinctive design language of the Panorama series, Panorama Dine by Jonas Wagell comprises a modular sofa, compact chair and pouf, and table – all shaped for more upright seating.

With a higher seat and reduced depth, the modular sofa is suited to dining, meeting and other settings where a more upright posture is preferred. A sharper seat edge and recessed front provide added foot clearance and legroom, while the three designs can be combined to create coherent seating arrangements across a variety of commercial spaces.

At the core of Patrick Norguet’s Ori Chair is a shaped wooden shell that establishes the continuous form of the seat and back. From here, layers of cushioning and upholstery build up the softer expression of the finished chair.

The upholstery is shaped through a series of precise details. An envelope seam defines the outer edges, while a stitched and pulled-in line across the front of the backrest gives shape to the surface. On the reverse, a fine piping detail provides a subtle finish.

Once upholstered, the seat can be combined with a range of wooden, metal and swivel bases, allowing the same design to take on different functions and expressions.

A natural meeting point for informal conversations, the new Trim Bar Table by Danish studio 365° North brings an elevated, compact format to the series, offered in two compact tabletop sizes.

Equally suited to standing use and bar-height seating, the table offers a flexible setting for different ways of gathering. A square tabletop with softly rounded corners rests on the distinctive conical steel base, where vertical gaps introduce architectural rhythm and visual lightness.

The soft, rounded form of the Duvet Lounge Chair takes shape through a series of careful steps. The internal frame is first wrapped in a protective lining before layers of foam and down are added. Within individual channels, the down filling is worked and distributed by hand to build the chair’s generous volume.

Designed by Norwegian duo Skogstad & Wærnes, Duvet is finished with a single piece of tailored upholstery that drapes over the chair like a coat. Pinch seam stitching defines its shape, while tucked fabric creates deliberate folds – giving the finished chair its relaxed expression and distinctive, duvet-like softness.

Designed by Toan Nguyen, the Arc table collection pairs a solid steel base with a translucent glass tabletop. The contrast gives the geometric design a sense of both weight and lightness.

Reflecting its surroundings, the glass surface offers glimpses of the sculptural base beneath, allowing its form to be seen from different angles.

Wendelbo began as a small upholstery workshop in Denmark in 1955. More than fifty years later, our production in Ho Chi Minh City started with a team of just 20 people. Today, the facilities span 25,000 square metres, bringing hundreds of skilled employees, specialised machinery and almost every stage of production together in one place.

Led by Christian da Silva Wendelbo, third generation of the Wendelbo family, the production has continued to evolve through investments in technology, people and processes. Modern machinery brings precision, improves the use of materials and increases capacity, while skilled craftsmanship remains central to the way our furniture is made.

The soft, sculptural form of the Ovata Lounge Chair begins with a precisely built wooden frame. From here, layers of foam and upholstery gradually build the rounded seat and distinctive oval-shaped back, before the textile is carefully worked into the pleats that define the finished design.

Designed by Note, Ovata takes its name from the succulent that inspired its form, with strong yet softly curved leaves reflected in the chair's embracing silhouette. Much of the construction behind that expression disappears once the final cover is in place, but every layer plays its part in creating the shape, comfort and character of the finished chair.

A first-time visit to our production in Ho Chi Minh City can feel almost overwhelming. Across the factory floor, wooden frames, upholstered armrests, rolls of fabric and half-finished sofa modules move steadily between departments, while trolleys weave through the aisles and the hum of sewing machines is punctuated by the occasional crack of a pneumatic stapler.

It takes a little while before the rhythm of the place begins to reveal itself. What at first feels almost like watching an anthill gradually starts to make sense. Every unfinished piece is already on its way somewhere else, every trolley has a destination, and what first appears busy – even slightly chaotic – is, in reality, remarkably well organised.
