Two blinds working beautifully together.
For this very wide window, we fitted a made-to-measure hand-drawn blackout pleated blind behind a bespoke thermal lined and interlined roman blind to maximise thermal efficiency. Keeping the pleated blind down during the day helps moderate the room temperature - reducing heat through the summer and helping to retain warmth during the winter.
The blackout properties also create a wonderfully dark room for a sound night’s sleep, while the oversized striped roman blind on the most sumptuous and tactile linen adds softness, texture and beautifully dresses the window.
Practical, stylish and designed for comfort all year round.

This armchair needed a little more than simply recovering. Once stripped, the back required a complete rebuild underneath, restoring its structure and support before the new upholstery could begin.
The textured woven fabric has a wonderful mix of soft, earthy tones running through it – subtle shades of rust, ochre, blue, green and natural all blending together. The different coloured yarns create depth and movement rather than a definite pattern, making it interesting without being overpowering. Woven fabrics are particularly effective on upholstery because the weave itself provides texture and visual character.
The finished result feels warm, contemporary and incredibly versatile while still allowing the character of the original chair to shine through.
A great example of why a well-made piece of furniture is so worth saving – rebuilt, reupholstered and ready for many more years of use.

Double pinch-pleats are especially good for creating a sleek, efficient stack which is particularly important in a dormer window where we wanted to maximise the natural light.
Delicate stylised trees and floral motifs are intricately stitched onto a soft natural ground with rich greens and subtle carmine accents bringing the pattern to life. The embroidery gives the fabric gorgeous texture and depth, while the natural background keeps the overall look soft and understated. This design takes inspiration from traditional Indian textiles, combining classic botanical motifs with intricate embroidery.
We love how the traditional embroidery works alongside the clean tailoring of the double pleat – pretty, understated and full of character.

These full-length pencil-pleated curtains have been fitted onto a discreet track, giving a relaxed, softly gathered finish when closed and allowing them to stack back beautifully neatly to make the most of the window and all that natural light.
The real feature is the fabric. We love its contemporary, almost abstract geometric design – bold horizontal brushstroke-like embroidered bands are layered across a soft neutral ground, with accents of deep plum, charcoal, olive, aqua and ochre. It has that wonderful quality of combining expressive pattern with a really considered colour palette drawing inspiration from contemporary art.

This bespoke Roman blind was ceiling fixed and made to finish precisely at the window sill - careful measuring ensured a beautifully tailored fit from top to bottom.
The bold botanical design features layers of tropical foliage in gorgeous tones of sage, olive, teal and deep forest green, softened with touches of blush and warm ochre. There’s plenty going on in the pattern, yet the natural colour palette keeps it wonderfully balanced.
A Roman blind is such a lovely way to use a statement fabric like this. When lowered, you get to appreciate the design almost like a piece of artwork, while still having the softness and practicality of a fabric window treatment.
A little bit of the tropics brought indoors 🌿

Thank you for taking the time to meet with us and taking our concerns on board.
We are huge advocates of our beautiful town and are incredibly proud to have been part of Abergavenny high street for nearly five decades. It would be fantastic to see some of the investment and benefits enjoyed by the main High Street extended to this end of town too.
As one of the main gateways into Abergavenny for those travelling from Powys and beyond, this area plays an important role in creating those all-important first impressions of the town. We would love to see it looking as welcoming, attractive and cared for as possible, encouraging visitors to continue into the town centre and discover everything Abergavenny has to offer.
It would be wonderful to have a lovely Memorial Garden here (which was gifted to the town) and it could be such an important and valued space. Enhancing the surrounding area would complement the garden beautifully and help create a much more welcoming entrance to Abergavenny.
Thank you again for meeting with us and for being so receptive to our thoughts. We really appreciate the opportunity to work together to make this end of town something we can all be proud of.
