SOFA SCHOOL — POCKET SPRINGS vs FOAM 🛋️

Pocket springs vs foam — what’s actually the difference?
You might see these words when shopping for a sofa… but does it really matter what’s inside the seat?

Actually, yes — because it can change the way your sofa feels.

✓ POCKET SPRINGS
Individual springs respond separately as you sit, giving you supportive comfort with a little more bounce. They adapt to pressure and help distribute your weight across the seat.

A great example is our Solaya Sofa, which combines a pocket coil core with high-density foam — giving you a lovely balance of support and comfort.

✓ FOAM
Foam gives you a more consistent, supportive feel. It holds its shape well and offers comfortable support for everyday lounging.
A great example is our Prestige Corner Sofa, with deep foam-filled cushions designed to give you that soft, supportive and comfortable sit.

So, which is better?

There isn’t one right answer. It really comes down to how you like your sofa to feel.
And sometimes reading about comfort just isn’t enough.

Come into our Mallusk showroom and try them for yourself. Sit down, get comfortable, try different sofas and discover which type of support feels right for you 🤍

We’ll provide product information and explain how to register your referrals. There are no set hours for the flexible sales role.

We’re also looking for a Store Manager. If you have retail experience and are interested in a commission-led role based on store performance, message us to discuss the details.

WHY THE PRICE DIFFERENCE?
Two corner sofas can look like they do the same job… so why can the price be so different?

A stylish, practical corner with some great everyday extras:
✓ USB charging
✓ Built-in storage
✓ Cup holders
✓ Compact L-shape design

So what are you paying extra for?

Size, construction, reclining mechanisms and additional comfort features can all make a big difference to the final price.
One gives you great value and clever everyday practicality. The other gives you more space and electric reclining comfort.

Which one would suit your home better?

COMFORT GUIDE — FIRM OR SINK-IN?

What does “comfortable” mean to you?
Some of us love a sofa that feels supportive. Others want to sit down, sink in and stay there.

✓ FIRMER & SUPPORTIVE — AXEL
High-density foam gives Axel a supportive, more structured feel that holds its shape.

https://comfort.furniture/products/axel-corner-sofa?_pos=2&_psq=axel&_psid=c861a6d4e&_ss=e

✓ SOFT & SINK-IN — FERRO
Deep, soft cushioning gives Ferro that cosy, relaxed feeling you can really sink into.

YOUR SOFA QUESTIONS — ANSWERED

Buying a new sofa usually comes with a few questions. Here are 5 we hear all the time:

1. How do I know if the sofa will fit?
Measure your room, but don’t forget about the journey in — doors, hallways and stairs matter too. Comfort ma nawet własny Will It Fit? Sofa Checker, który porównuje wymiary przejścia z rzeczywistymi specyfikacjami sof. Comfort Furniture

2. Left-hand or right-hand corner — which one do I need?
Think about where the corner needs to sit in your room, then always check the configuration and product image before ordering. If you’re unsure, send us your room measurements or a photo and we’ll help.

3. Do you deliver across Northern Ireland?
Yes — free delivery is available across Northern Ireland. For larger or heavier sofas, or more difficult access, a two-person delivery service may be required. Comfort Furniture

4. Can you take my old sofa away?
Yes. Comfort offers a sofa removal service for £60 when purchased alongside your new sofa, so you don’t have to worry about getting rid of the old one yourself. Comfort Furniture

5. Can I try a sofa before I buy it?
If the model is on display, absolutely. Come into our Mallusk showroom, sit down, get comfortable and see how it actually feels. Not every online model is physically on display, so it’s worth checking with us first.

Still have a question we haven’t answered?
Drop it in the comments or send us a message — it might be the next one we answer. 🤍
