Old furniture does not always mean the skip.

When we recently cleared an area ahead of a refit, the desks and chairs still had years of life left in them. Rather than scrap a working classroom's worth of furniture, we arranged for the full set to go to local schools who needed it.

Three days. That was the entire window.

Solihull College needed eight IT suites refitted over the summer and, like every college, they had a deadline that does not negotiate. Students come back, and the rooms have to be ready.

Our own fitting team handled the lot. The same faces on site from the first room to the last, working through the sequence room by room so nothing was left half finished overnight.

The old suites had done their years of service and it showed. What has gone in is built to take a proper hammering: durable stone-effect tops, tidy power runs along the perimeter, and comfortable mesh-back chairs that will still be doing the job in a decade.

There is something genuinely satisfying about handing a room back and knowing it is ready to go.
