Furniture Maker I've always loved making things out of wood. I trained as a furniture maker in the mid 90s. I work as a furniture maker in the Sussex countryside.

I managed to find some well seasoned oak and chestnut a little while ago and put it to use on this kitchen bench. They're similar woods to work with, but the contrast in colour is striking. I'm pretty happy with this one 🙌. Osmo oil finish.

A successful installation today. I spent a fretful weekend trying to convince myself I'd measured correctly. Everything went to plan 🙌. Thanks to my lovely clients for their continued support and for the muscle this morning!

I was asked by a customer if I'd consider refinishing some vintage chopping boards that she'd inherited from her grandmother. Here's some before & after photos. It feels great to know they'll continue to be used for many years to come 🙌
