Crown Bedrooms is a genuine family company, started in 1973, by David Youel. Following his Shopfitting and Joinery apprenticeship, he fitted out the halls of residence in Manchester - his certificates and qualifications are on display in the Denton factory showroom.
David had an eye for detail and soon opened his own showroom and workshop and worked hard to build up a strong reputation. The name Crown Bedrooms was a nod to the workshop’s proximity to Crown Point in Denton - it's also a fitting title for the superior quality and service.
As Crown's reputation and success grew, the workshop expanded and now encompasses a vast showroom, spread over two floors - the first floor overlooking the workshop where our team continues to make fitted furniture, sliding wardrobes and home office furniture to this day.
David introduced his children, Joanne and James, to the business early - they even earned their pocket money in the workshop! After uni, the siblings became co-owners of Crown Bedrooms with their dad, and the trio worked as a team. David certainly passed on his eye for quality and sense of pride in a job well done.
Sadly, David is no longer with us, but Crown Bedrooms operates exactly as before -dedicated to customer service, exceptional furniture, and an eye for detail.
Fifty three years of quality fitted furniture, measured, made and fitted by OUR people in OUR workshop means YOUR home is in the safest of hands.
