Artemis London - Bespoke Furniture Design - Hands of Industry - UK Artisan Theo has been working with furniture since 2014.

From refurbishing antiques to building his own designs from scratch, more than a decade of experience has positioned Theo Alexander Design at the forefront of handmade furniture in London. AS1 is my way of bringing furniture making and my love of music together.

A few thoughts from the workshop on where the idea came from and what I’m hoping to make. The wood is here—next up, some practice joints before the build begins.

Auction No.001 is now live.

This is the first piece I’m auctioning to help fund Nairobi’s lymphoma treatment.

• Solid wood
• Oscuro finish (my darkest wood tone)
• Suitable as a dining table, desk or outdoor table

Nairobi’s workshop foreman duties are still very much in full swing. 🌿

A little update on the first auction piece. The tabletop is finished, the legs are almost there, and with a bit of luck I’ll have everything completed tonight.

Once it’s finished I’ll get some proper photos up and the auction will go live here on Instagram.

It’s a 130 × 88 cm solid wood table in my Oscuro finish. It can be used as a dining table, desk or even outdoors if that’s where it ends up.

Every bid above the opening amount (which covers delivery) will go towards Nairobi’s treatment.

AS1 has been in development for a while now.

For now, that project is on pause.

Last week ago my dog, Nairobi, was diagnosed with lymphoma. She’s been by my side in the workshop for years, and right now my focus is doing everything I can to help fund her treatment.

So over the coming weeks I’ll be building and auctioning one-off pieces of furniture.

The first piece is already underway, and I’ll be sharing the entire process—from timber to the finished piece, then the auction and delivery.

Auction details:
• Bidding will take place in the Instagram comments.
• The opening bid will cover delivery costs.
• Everything above that will go towards Nairobi’s treatment through her GoFundMe.
