A closer look at the finished breakfast bar in place.
I made the bar itself — solid wood top with black steel legs — and the customer chose the chairs afterwards.
This is the kind of piece that works when you want extra seating, but still want the room to feel open and uncluttered.
Made to measure, made properly, and built around the space.

Breakfast bars made to measure.
Built to suit the space rather than forcing standard furniture into a room that needs something more specific.
Length, depth, finish and leg style can all be adjusted, whether it’s for a kitchen, dining area, home bar or a narrow wall where a full table doesn’t quite work.
Handmade by in London.

Made-to-measure breakfast bar
Solid wood top in rose wood finish, simple black steel legs and a long narrow footprint so it works neatly along the wall without taking over the room.
The chairs were supplied by the customer, and they’ve paired them really nicely with the warmth of the wood and the black frame.
Now offering these table leg sets separately.
Handmade in my London workshop, with housed turned pedestals, a let-in stretcher rail, and hand-finished chamfered details throughout.
Made to order in custom sizes for dining tables, desks and worktops.
Website or DM if you’d like a set made for your own top.

Some of the making behind this set.
The turned pedestals are housed into the plinth blocks, with the underside of the base relieved to receive the stretcher rail.
The X-frame sections are cut with cross-halving joints, removing half the thickness from each piece so the timbers slot through one another mechanically rather than just being fixed face-to-face.
A lot of the finishing is in the edges too — chamfered details across the base, soft round-overs on the table and bench tops, and hand-sanded undersides so nothing feels sharp or freshly machined.
I wanted it to feel like a vintage refectory table set: solid, grounded, practical, and softened by hand rather than overly perfect.
