Have you seen our new fabric lampshades? Designed and made by me to compliment our cordless and wired lamp collection they have a standard fitting so will also work with your own table and desk lamps.

Each fabric lampshade is handmade using vintage, reclaimed, or remnant fabrics so they are a really sustainable option. The interior is either fabric or white card - no nasty plastic on display here! Most are trimmed with silky fringing and velvet ribbon for a very luxurious feel.

If you’d like one of these shades in a different size or shape please get in touch - if I have enough fabric I will make it for you. ☺️

Hello folks! It's been a while - I hope all is well with you? I've been busy this month working on some new ideas and new products. 

Before Christmas I did quite a few events including craft fairs and workshops and met some lovely new people. So I thought, for those of you who don't know me, I would tell you a little bit about who I am and what I do!

I’m Carrie, the designer-maker behind Webb & Gray. I work from my studio in Margate, where I design and make one-off pieces of furniture, lighting and homeware. I have a degree in Interior Architecture from the University of Brighton and worked for 10 years designing interiors mainly in the hospitality sector. But, back in 2016, I started upcycling furniture and quickly fell in love with the process of turning something overlooked into something  new and special. In 2019 I moved to Margate with my partner and two children.

Everything I make is created using reclaimed or sustainable materials, and I’m known for my colourful work using techniques like marbling and gilding. I love experimenting with colour, pattern and texture. Alongside larger furniture pieces, I also make smaller homewares and seasonal gifts (you might have seen my marbled baubles or gilded walnuts before Christmas!) Webb & Gray is all about blending sustainability with a sense of luxury - thoughtful design, made with care.

Our Winter Pearl hand marbled baubles are now exclusively available at the gorgeous in Broadstairs!

Pearlescent pastels swirl together creating stunning patterns and textures with a sparkle of silver. Each luxury bauble is different and may vary from the photograph but we ensure that every piece is equally beautiful.

Our luxury marbled Christmas baubles have been made by hand using the traditional Ebru marbling technique. The paint is laid onto a thickened water (called size) and swirled around to create patterns. The bauble is then dipped into the size and the pattern transfers to the bauble. This means that each and every bauble is completely unique.

We use high quality ceramic baubles made in a family run factory in Derbyshire and specialist Turkish marbling paints to ensure a superior finish. Each bauble is complete with a long satin ribbon to hang it from your Christmas tree and comes in its own beautiful gift box. 

An Evening of 🌟🎄Festivities🎄🌟 at Radford House - singing, mulled wine and mince pies, alongside Brighter Days Market with local makers for your special Christmas gifts. The old fire station will be decked out with decorations handmade by the Chat Time group. Come and mingle, shop and admire the handiwork.

Ramsgate Arts Primary School choir will join us at 6pm to sing some festive songs.
