Two volunteers who deserve particular recognition for supporting us in achieving a 5 star hygiene rating for our community kitchen are Tom and Pam.
Tom has kept the kitchen in tip-top condition since he started volunteering and Pam helped us ensure we met all compliance with completing our paperwork to a high standard!
We gave these two volunteers some thank you gifts to show them our appreciation!

We are incredibly grateful to Mark Sidey and World Heat for their wonderful golf fundraising day! Their event raised £1505 and today we received a huge cheque from them!
We will be using the money alongside the grant from Rotary Tameside to run our adult and children Leftovers to Lifelines cookery workshops over July and August! Dates to be released shortly!

Today we were deeply honoured to receive the High Sheriff of Greater Manchester’s Special Recognition Award from Mark Llewellin, High Sheriff of Greater Manchester.
This award is a huge celebration of the heart behind our work — supporting our community, reducing food waste, tackling food insecurity, creating safe spaces, and bringing people together through kindness, compassion, and connection.
At The Power of Resilience CIC, we believe that every person matters and that strong communities are built when we stand together and support one another. This recognition belongs not only to our team, but to every volunteer, supporter, partner, and community member who has walked alongside us.
We are incredibly grateful for this acknowledgement of the difference our community is making across Tameside.
