Tomintoul Richmond Memorial Hall Welcome to Tomintoul’s Richmond Memorial Hall, at the heart of our community in the Cairngorms National Park.

We provide a home for local clubs and groups, and are available to hire for parties, events, meetings, in fact almost anything you can think of! RIchmond Memorial Hall is located on Tomnabat Lane, just off the main street of Tomintoul. The hall is an important part of the community providing facilities to the local school, fitness clubs, mums and toddlers groups as well as annual Christmas parties for local pensioners and schoolchildren. The hall is available for hire - the small hall can cater for upto 50 people, the larger hall upto 200.

🎉 Exciting news!

We are delighted to announce that we now have high-speed Wi-Fi installed throughout the hall, thanks to the brilliant team at Wi-Fi Scotland! 📶✨

Based in Elgin, Wi-Fi Scotland has stepped in to fully supply and install a new wifi setup. Whether you're hosting a community presentation, running a workshop, streaming music for an event, or just sharing a selfie, getting connected at the hall is simple.

There'll be a poster on the hall notice board with all the login and connection details in the next day or two, so have a quick check next time you're in to get connected! 📱💻

As a community-run venue, working alongside local businesses who care about supporting rural spaces makes all the difference. A huge thank you to the Wi-Fi Scotland team for their incredible support, professionalism, and commitment to keeping Tomintoul connected! 👏

We mentioned a while back that we're running a Halloween Party, including a carved pumpkin and fancy dress competition on the night itself, at the Tomintoul Richmond Memorial Hall. 🎃👻👹

However, we know there aren't many spaces for the grown-ups to get together in the evenings at the minute, so would you be interested in extending to 9pm? We'll keep some tunes going, and it'll be BYOB + nibbles. Entry will be free, although we'd appreciate donations to help cover the hall hire costs. 🪩🎉

If you'd like to come along, please comment below, but please remember that whilst our volunteers are happy to help run this (we'd like a socialising space as well), we don't want to sit in an empty hall 🥹

Well... that was a bit different, and what an absolute monster of a night!! 🪗💥🤯

There might well be a few sore heads and ringing ears around the village this morning, but we just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who came along and helped us blow the roof off the Richmond Memorial Hall!

A huge shout-out to our brilliant local openers Delavorar for getting the room properly warmed up, and of course, an enormous, glorious, chaotic thanks to RuMac Music for unleashing absolute accordion carnage on Tomintoul! 🎸🔥 From trad Gaelic tunes to heavy metal chaos, and even a sneaky wee Gay Gordons, that was a night for the Tomintoul250 history books.

Here are a few quick snaps from the night. If you were there, tag yourself, drop your own photos and videos in the comments, and let us know what your favorite moment was!

To everyone who bought a ticket, grabbed a drink, danced until their legs gave out, and supported our 250th anniversary celebrations: you are absolute legends.

We've added some more comfortable seating in our small hall for when you're just fancying a cuppa and a chat as part of your bookings, try them out next time you're in!

But this is just the start of making your Hall a more welcoming and better-equipped space...

Keep your eye out for updates on redecorating the Hall, plus we have submitted a funding application for help in renovating the flooring and replacing the lighting with brighter and more energy efficient units...we're keeping everything crossed we're successful!
