Cultivate experimentation, encourage craftsmanship.
Established in 1990, Produzione Privata is Michele De Lucchi's design research project, and part of the architecture studio AMDL CIRCLE. Produzione Privata was founded in Italy by Michele De Lucchi and Sibylle Kicherer as an experimental design company. By cultivating experimentation we foster the processes of non-static open thinking, circular thinking between creative minds, where the obvious is

Kado is more than just a collection. It embodies the Zen principle of the “road to spiritual elevation”.
Taking its name from the ancient Japanese art of flower arrangement, the Kado trio helps you find the perfect harmony in every composition. Because every flower deserves a vase that elevates its shape, respects its height, and honours its soul.

From the experience of Basequadra comes one of the most challenging Editions for our master glassmakers: “A che cosa servono i vasi da fiori?”
Twelve flower names for twelve Murano blown glass sculptures, born from the pencil of . Not just objects, nor just flower vases, but a limited-edition that transforms abstract concepts into transparent and vibrant forms. Iris to house the splendid fruit of poverty, Liriope for the search for sincerity, Pomegranate to fill with an image of Paradise.
From the permanent collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris to the halls of the Triennale di Milano, these works have become part of the history of contemporary design, challenging the very function of the object to become pure visual poetry.

Born from ’s desire to combine the transparency of glass with the ruggedness of natural metal, Basequadra holds a special place in our history as the very first glass vase in the Produzione Privata collection, designed back in 1997.
A simple shape of mouth-blown glass becomes the lens through which we observe the world under a different light. More poetic, pure, rigorous, and yet delicate.

The Basequadra vase, designed by Michele De Lucchi, Mario Rossi Scola, and Alberto Nason, blends the delicate transparency of glass with the sturdy strength of natural metal. Hand-blown by our master glassmakers, and crafted for those who appreciate the poetry of opposites.
This creative vision also led to a special edition, “A che cosa servono i vasi da fiori?” in 1999, a collection of 12 one-off pieces challenging the art of glassmaking even more!

One of ’s latest creations, Posto, was born from a practical need: providing comfortable, stackable seating for kids at a new school project above the mountains in Rokko, Japan.
By replicating the seat’s geometry to create the backrest, we’ve maintained the simplicity of the original Reposto stool while adding a new layer of comfort featuring a backrest.
Simple, stackable, portable, Posto is designed for movement. Grab it by the slot and take it wherever you need it!

It feels like home. A place where objects aren’t just filling the rooms. It’s a place where craftsmanship meets the quiet narration of daily life.

Some gestures can transform the ordinary into a vision.
An homage to composition, where every element finds its place in a play of contrasts and transparencies. The object is never just a shape or a material, but a narrative of craftsmanship and proportions, where the whole is far greater than the sum of its parts.
Bring this narrative into your space. The Arcimboldo collection is available at produzioneprivata.com

The Arcimboldo is more than a fruit tray.
By blowing glass into experimental steel plate moulds, the material is allowed to flow freely and fill the space in unique and unexpected ways. It’s the physical record of a transformation.
The result? No two pieces are ever the same.
