It's that time of year that .leather makes me look good and like I know what I am doing. She made this amazing marbled panel that I had the pleasure to turn into a lined A5 bifold journal. The lining is mandarin orange Virgilio Margot and it is stitched with matching Vinymo thread and has a back pocket. It has solid brass eyelets for a lifetime of use. I expect this to last all of 2 hrs in the shop so--ready, set, go!

Off they go as a gift to a soon to be married couple. The passport covers have been a very popular gift this year. Very thoughtful, especially for those who love to travel.

We are in our Olive era over here. Gorgeous Olive Buttero in a host of notebook sizes. A5 trifold, Midori/Travel/A5 slim size, pocket/Field Notes size, and passport size. Something for everyone in my new color way. All with solid brass grommets (these are antique brass) and tan elastic. All fit 3+ notebooks each.

All shops are back open after a week with family for a perfect wedding and some quality family time in Hawaii. Palm trees and 70°s is not the weather predicted for the Northeast this weekend. We are on a Blizzard watch with 18+" of snow on the way. Orders will be worked on but probably not be shipping until Wednesday once we are all dug out. Stay warm East Coast friends.

Today JHM Wood and Leather Crafts is officially 10 yrs in Business. From cutting boards and antique reproduction furniture, to chopsticks at Michelin starred restaurants, to now wallets, passport covers, and notebooks. What an amazing and creative 10 years it has been. The business model has changed a lot but every year I have grown more and more. I am up 300% in sales this year over last year (and it is just February ), and last year was one of my biggest yet. A sincere thanks to all who have supported me and told a friend of a friend of a friend. Thank you worldwide (I have an order for the UK on my bench) and local. I have to also thank customer number #1 Jeremiah Mankin. Yes he was a friend who bought my first cutting board but it put me in the Etsy algorithm and made me the success I am today. After 10 years, 3000+ pairs, being used in 2 different Michelin star restaurants, and shipped to dozens of countries, these are the last pair of chopsticks for a while. It was quite a run. I never made it to Oprah's favorite things list, but I did land on your tables across the country and for that I am grateful. Don't worry I will still make them on a per request basis. Horween Dark Chestnut Cypress is a new favorite of mine. I am kind of in love with it. It makes a gorgeous travelers/Midori notebook cover. I will be adding these to the shop as a new item for 2026.
