Isamu Noguchi didn’t just design furniture—he shaped space.

A sculptor at his core, Noguchi believed that “everything is sculpture,” approaching every material and form with the same curiosity and intention.

His work spans everything from furniture and lighting to gardens, plazas, and stage design—blending art and function in a way that still feels modern today.

Through collaborations with both Herman Miller and Knoll, Noguchi redefined what furniture could be—creating pieces that feel less like objects and more like living forms within a space.

Most famously, his iconic table design challenged traditional structure, proving that design doesn’t have to follow rules to feel balanced.

All of Herman Miller's chairs are designed to empower the body, meaning that you’ll stay comfortable whatever you plan to do.

Sitting for a while? Try Embody. Moving quickly from task to task? Mirra 2 might be your chair. Want to make a statement? Give Sayl a chance. Need to get comfortable quickly? Cosm’s great for that. Feel like you need your own support system? Go for Aeron.

Whichever chair you choose, you can be confident in Herman Miller's decades of research-based ergonomic innovation, 12-year warranty, and continued sustainable stewardship. So however you sit, and whoever you are ... You’ll be happier in a Herman Miller.
