This is the MOST beautiful train ride in the US…😍

When we finished our Alaskan cruise, we had the option to either take the bus to the airport or take the scenic train! To us, that was a no brainer and we opted for the longer train ride.

We had no idea what to expect, but when we did our research we quickly found out that this train route is one of the most beautiful in the United States!

AND it lived up to those high expectations 🙌

You seriously are staring at a picture every single time you look out the window with a new sight to see each time!

Whether that is a new mountain, the changing of leaves, glaciers in the distance, or even flowing rivers below the train…it was so beautiful that it literally felt fake at times!

The train ride is about 4 hours and takes you from Seward to Anchorage with a few stops in between!

Would you take this train ride?! 😍⬇️

Best view in Alaska? This might be it 🥹🧊

There are a LOT of incredible views in Alaska, but seeing Hubbard Glacier from onboard our Norwegian Cruise Line is one we’re still thinking about two years later.

Standing on the ship surrounded by mountains while this massive wall of blue ice stretched out in front of us genuinely didn’t feel real. 🏔️🚢

And that’s one of our favorite things about cruising Alaska. Sometimes you don’t even have to leave the ship to experience one of the most unforgettable moments of the entire trip.

If an Alaskan cruise is on your bucket list, do NOT sleep through glacier day 😂🧊

Would you cruise Alaska just for this view?

How much we spent on our Alaskan cruise ⬇️

It’s officially been TWO years since we took this 7-day Alaskan cruise, and we’re somehow still thinking about it. 🥹🚢

We sailed with Norwegian Cruise Line from Vancouver through Alaska, visiting Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Hubbard Glacier, and Seward.

So, how much did the entire trip actually cost us per person?

🚢 Cruise: $844.81

When planning Alaska, we debated between a cruise and a road trip. Once we started comparing rental cars, hotels, transportation, and everything else, cruising made the most sense for our budget.

🍸 Gratuities + Drink Package: $447.50

We normally skip the drink package, but we were traveling with a group and decided this was one trip where we wanted to splurge a little.

🛟 Excursions: $324.75

We did every excursion we wanted and STILL stayed under $350 per person, including sea kayaking, ocean rafting, and a FREE Hubbard Glacier tour!

✈️ Round-trip flights: $60.75

Yep. $60.75 PER PERSON round trip. 😂✈️

We used points and miles for our flights, so we only had to cover the taxes and fees.

💰 TOTAL: $1,677.81 per person

That covered our 7-day cruise, gratuities + drink package, excursions, AND round-trip flights.

And two years later? We still talk about this trip ALL the time. Alaska was worth every penny. 🥹🏔️

We also definitely didn’t do this as cheaply as possible. Skip the drink package, choose fewer excursions, and use points for flights like we did, and there are plenty of ways to bring the price down.

Would you spend $1,677 per person for a week in Alaska? 👀

Nature has a way of quieting everything 🥹🌲

There’s something truly special about being outside, surrounded by nothing but fresh air, beautiful views, and the sounds of the world happening around you.

No notifications. No rushing. No endless list of things that need to get done.

Just a reminder to slow down, look around, and realize how incredible this world really is. 🩵

Some of the most peaceful moments in life are also the simplest.

Where do you go when you need a little peace?
