The shift away from plastic is accelerating, and the range of viable alternatives is growing fast.

Today, fibre-based, recyclable, and bio-based packaging solutions are no longer niche options. They are becoming mainstream, with improved performance, better barrier properties, and increasing cost competitiveness compared to traditional plastic formats.

Innovation across the value chain is making sustainable packaging not only possible, but practical at scale, for food, retail, e-commerce, and industrial applications. As technology improves and volumes increase, the gap between conventional plastic packaging and sustainable alternatives continues to narrow.

“There are no alternatives” is no longer a valid argument. The options exist, they perform, and they are becoming more accessible and cost-effective every day.
