A couple of barley twist stools that I really enjoyed making.

The legs are quite a bit of work, but that’s probably why I like them so much. Each twist takes time, and I love the character they bring to a piece.

These two have now found their new home.

Taking photos of these today and thinking how lovely they’d look in our house.

My husband makes beautiful furniture, works almost every day, even Sundays, and I’m so proud of what he does.

But somehow, in all these years, he’s never made me a single piece of furniture.

Anyway, these are off to their new homes. Maybe I should put in an order too. 🤔

A little experiment in the workshop 🤎

We tried adding these beautiful Delft tiles by Akka Home to our Haven Shelves.

Each tile is hand-painted, and the detail is just gorgeous. There’s something special about a piece of art made by hand, and I love how it works with the timber.

This one was a pleasure to restore.

Solid English oak, beautiful grain, lots of detail in the top, and a little shelf underneath.

I’ve also replaced the back panel and brought the timber back to life while keeping its original character.

It’s now pending.

There’s something special about knowing an old piece of furniture can go on being used and enjoyed for many more years.

All 7 left the workshop today.

I know they’re just bar stools, but I get a little attached to them.

Makes me wonder how I’ll cope when my kids grow up and move out. 🥹

Our standard Bobbin Bar Stool in dark brown, and a custom one in red.

Our customer loved their Shaker Side Table in red so much that they came back for two bar stools in the same colour!

And how good does it look? They also chose a different stretcher design to make it their own.

Love a bold choice like this.👍♥️
