June is here, and all of us at Ong's Kampong — including the little Mafia Kids — would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped us care for Mimi and keep the rest of the gang fed, safe, and comfortable.😺😺😺

As many of you know, Mimi's needs have increased significantly. Between p*e pads, regular vet reviews, and his special veterinary diet, the monthly costs continue to add up.

For June, we're hoping to raise $800 to help cover these essentials.💛

While Mimi's feeder and a few dedicated supporters are helping wherever they can, the costs of his p*e pads and prescription diet are largely borne by me. Every bit of support makes a real difference.

And of course, there are still the residents of Ong's Kampong and the silly Mafia Kids to care for every day. It's exhausting at times, but giving up on them is never an option.🩵

Our next concern is Ger, who will be seeing the vet soon due to ongoing weight loss despite having a very good appetite. We're hoping to get some answers and help her feel better too.

This month will also be the time to purchase prescription food from the clinic, so we're reaching out once again for a little help from our village.

If you'd like to support the June care fund:
PayNow: 98232002

(Please indicate "June" in the reference)
If you'd prefer to contribute food or supplies, please send me a PM for collection or drop-off details.
From Mimi, Ger, the Mafia Kids, everyone at Ong's Kampong, and myself — thank you for being part of their journey and helping us continue to care for them. ❤️

MIMI NEEDS HELP

We are looking for someone that stays around tiong bahru / bukit ho swee area that has experience expressing cat's bladder to help us with expressing mimi's bladder.

It's not a everyday thing but only on Sundays or if his morning feeder or i am unable to do it due to work commitments or traveling.

Mimi will be staying with auntie whom is 83 yrs old so it's too hard for her to bend or learn to express his bladder.

We are committed to helping him live his best life as a paralysed cat but occasionally we might need our own break too... as both his morning feeder and I don't stay nearby and needs to work so we are trying to get some help.

We will be willing to pay a token sum but you need to be experienced or know how to do it... please dm or WhatsApp 98232002 to discuss if you or anyone know you is able to help this poor boy.

Mimi is currently back in the vet for boarding as his morning feeder is overseas. and dr have asked to repeat a basic blood test to check on his liver and etc. Test results have return and all is good..! He will be back on Tuesday!

P.s We will be keeping mimi's appeal. Because he will likely need a constantly supply of prescription diet and endless p*epad..

A kind neighbour have ordered a wheely for him and we will update as he gets to try it on. I've also ordered a drag bag for him to help him move around.

We will be removing the cage and making the area suitable for him soon. Thanks for helping mimi.

Thank you everyone for helping this silly boy once again...

He seems able to p*e by himself but we are still going up twice a day to feed and help clean him. We will look at getting wheelies for him slowly. Thank you everyone once again..

We are still waiting for his p**p to harden if not we will bring him back to see the vet.

New photos uploaded.

Mimi and auntie urgently need help again… 💔

22 may - mimi the flower boy (very popular with the vet nurses) have been discharged. We will slowly be changing auntie house to make it more suitable for him.

19th may - mimi have started eating on his own yesterday so doctor hold back on the decision to put the feeding tube. I was informed he can be discharged soon. He needs to have his p*e expressed 2-3 times daily which his j*p feeder and me will help auntie since she's too old for it. Mimi will stay with her after discharge. If his j*p feeder is not in singapore we will board him with an experienced boarder.

We are still very far from the 2.5k estimated bill.

Our strong mimi have survived 2 health scares within 2 months... so please consider helping him or sharing his story. Thank you.

To help with mimi bill please paynow to 98232002 and state for mimi. Any extra will go to his reviews or if we are considering acupuncture for him next. Thank you everyone.

16th may - visited mi today. He is still not eating. Doctor think its to stress. They will put feeding tube tomorrow if still refuses to eat overnight. I'll bring more food for him tomorrow morning.

On the night of 13 May, I fed Mimi his supper as usual before bringing him upstairs to spend the night with auntie.

Early morning on 14 May, auntie brought him downstairs for his usual p*e/poo routine and to spend time with the other aunties downstairs. At that time, Mimi was still walking normally and seemed perfectly fine.

Around 9am, his Japanese feeder arrived and found Mimi inside the drain, unable to move his hind legs. Auntie was sitting nearby, only about 20m away. Everything happened so suddenly.

He was brought back upstairs immediately. Throughout the day, Mimi showed very little feeling in his hind legs.

Today, we managed to send him to the vet. X-rays thankfully did not show fractures or broken bones, but his bladder was enlarged and the vet had to help express his urine. There was also some blood present in his p*e. At this point, we still do not know the exact cause of his paralysis.

The vet mentioned several possible causes, including infection, spinal trauma, FIP, or other neurological conditions. He is currently being treated for a possible urinary infection while further observation continues.

Because there were no visible external wounds, we cannot be sure what happened. One painful possibility is that he may have been hurt during the short period when auntie was distracted talking nearby. What makes this harder is that another community cat in the same area was suddenly found limping just one day earlier. Thankfully, that cat later recovered, but the incidents happening so close together still left many of us worried and shaken.

No matter what happens next, Mimi will not be abandoned.

His Japanese feeder, another auntie, and I will continue caring for him together. We are prepared to learn how to express his bladder and help auntie care for him long term if needed. We have seen many special-needs and paralysed cats continue to live happy, loved lives.

Mimi is deeply loved. He deserves a chance to fight through this.

Auntie has been blaming herself non-stop and is extremely heartbroken. We hope to ease some of her burden and continue giving Mimi the care he needs.

If you are able to help with his medical expenses, please consider supporting Mimi.

PayNow: 98232002(Please indicate “For Mimi”)

Any amount, no matter how small, truly helps.Thank you for caring about Mimi and auntie. 🙏

May appeal is closed !!! Thank you everyone for your help!!!!! Sorry have been sick for the past few days...!

Thanks to a kind donor we will now just need to raise $500 for the month of may! 👏👏👏

----------------

We’re putting together our May feeding fund and aiming to raise $700. 😸😸😸

Right now, about 20–25 cats are being fed daily, twice a day. My friend and an elderly uncle (70 years old, no longer working) help during the day, and I handle the night feeding. The number of cats can vary, as some seem to be roaming in and out.

To make sure they all get proper meals and do not wander out to the roads, I’ve been sharing the cost and food with them so the cats can stay healthy and cared for. 💛💛💛

Mimi whom have just been to the vet will also need special diet for his sensitive stomach.

If you’d like to support their meals this month, you can contribute via PayNow to 98232002.🙏🙏🙏

If you prefer to donate food instead, feel free to message me on WhatsApp to arrange pickup or drop-off.

Thank you for helping us look after them

Update : 7th may

Snowy jr 2 aka chonky went to the vet today. Thankfully his blood test shows mostly normal and he should be quite young... but due to his ongoing medical issues.. uncle couldn't foster him for now. We have placed him in temporary boarding till uncle gets well and can take him back.

We are putting him on strict diet to help him lose some weight and he will be up for adoption once he's ready. Ps. He is felv and fiv negative!

Snowy appeal is now closed. Thank you everyone! I'll be updating on his vet visit etc.

🚨 Help Us Save Snowy Jr 2 🐾 🚨

Some of you may remember Snowy Jr (the first one)… he appeared around Oct/Nov 2025 and then went missing despite all our efforts. We never found him. 💔

https://www.facebook.com/share/1DWQSEdugL/

Now, we’re trying everything we can to make sure the same thing does NOT happen again.

Meet Snowy Jr 2 🤍
He’s not my regular everyday turn up cat — he roams between different feeding areas, appearing for a day, then disappearing for days. When we first met him, he was extremely scared, always hissing and keeping his distance.
Only in recent months did he finally start trusting us.

⚠️ But now, something is wrong.

He’s been seen breathing with his mouth open
What we thought was hissing… is actually panting
He is severely overweight, which may be affecting his breathing

Dr Chow has advised that he urgently needs blood tests and further checks to understand what’s going on.

💔 Unfortunately, despite instructions, he has been overfed (3–4 cans at a time) by his evening feeder, worsening his condition.

🏡 The plan to save him:
Bring him in for medical checks
Place him with a fosterer to monitor his health & weight (we found one fosterer already)
Transition him to indoor life
Eventually find him a forever home

🙏 We need your help
We are trying to raise $600 to cover his blood test and any necessary treatments.
Every dollar goes directly to his care.

📄 Invoices will be shared transparently.

14th May 2026

Auntie and Mimi Urgently needs help again... Mimi was found suddenly unable to walk this morning. His hind legs totally went weak. He was walking fine and eating fine last night around 1am still. Theres no signs of trauma and he doesn't seems to feel pain. We urgently need funds to bring him to the vet tomorrow.

He is still eating and have p**ped on his own.

Dear cat mama and papa... you have helped mimi and auntie once. Please help them again. Invoices will be uploaded once we bring him to the vet tomorrow.

Please paynow to 98232002 and state it's for mimi. Thank you so much in advance.

--------------

Auntie and mimi would love to thank everyone whom helped him recover and back to his loved ones and the aunties around there whom loves him. Currently he is cared for by his feeder ah sim auntie. And she will bring him back home when she goes up. (And trust me auntie spends alot of time downstairs with him). It's difficult for a 80 yo old lady to take care of him on her own so his Japanese feeder and I will be helping her too. And we will update on this boy regularly!

So meanwhile he will enjoy listening to gossips and chitchatting and be kept safe at end of the day.

update :
17th April: mimi have finally p**p solid p**p today morning. Hes eating ok. Staying with auntie now and out walking only under supervision because he gave auntie a love bite.

Appetite not back to 100% but eating much better. We are short of estimated $300 to cover his ultrasound scan.

15th April: mimi have been discharged and currently will be staying with his feeder auntie till he gets better and his morning feeder and I will be helping to feed him his medication. Atlas have instructed to monitor his p**p (as he haven't p**p for days but likely due to not eating well.)

His appetite is back but saying so... he's still as picky and fussy so we r still trying to find out what he likes for the day.

Bill and photos uploaded.

15th April mimi will be discharged today or tomorrow latest and send to auntie house. His morning feeder and me will go over to help feed him medication etc. He will be gg back for a repeated ultrasound in few days time. Latest bill uploaded.

14th April: mimi finished his food overnight and seems to be doing good when his j*p feeder went to visit him. Still gave her a nibble on her finger. I'll be taking a break today and not visiting him. We will be warding him to observe few more days before sending him back to his favourite auntie. She's also v happy to hear of his improvement... we would like to thank everyone that helped share his stories. Please continue sharing and helping w his bill and reviews etc...

13th April: mimi started eating on his own. Depending on his progress we are looking to discharge him on Wednesday likely. He will be going back for an ultrasound scan to make sure everything is fine. Current bill is at estimated 2k plus and likely more expenses will occurred with the ultrasound and boarding if we need to medicate him. Please help him to get well. New photos uploaded of our handsome mimi.

12th april. Doctor note mimi still haven't eaten anything overnight. Visited him and looks more alert today. Silly boy ate some kibbles in front of me. And constantly trying to claw me.

Photos updated for today. They will repeat blood panels test and will update me. Will update again.

11th April. Ultrasound was done and some abnormalities was seen in his bladder so vet recommended a urine test. Results uploaded in post. As a layman I actually don't really understand the results but the vet said its some kinda inflammation etc... visited him and told him he can bite and scratch me whenever he wants it he gets well. Seems to agree by trying to give me a snap...

Dr chow will look at him tomorrow and I'll update once I have more information. They mentioned mimi eaten abit of treats but the vet did advised me not to be too happy still he's not out of the woods yet.

So please pray for him and auntie is also very worried she keeps calling me to ask about mimi. As the bill mounts we will need the donations alot.. thank you everyone in advance and please pardon me if I've been slow in updating because I'm really very tired too...

Estimated bill for yesterday is out and uploaded. Vet informed he was running a fever and have scheduled the ultrasound for today.

I'm appealing for anyone any amount to help me with his bills because its really beyond my means and aunties means right now. Any amount is greatly help us provide mimi with the best care and bring him back to auntie.

Mimi turns out to be felv+. Xray shows gassy intestine and looks inflammed. They are starting him on antibiotics and its on him to see if he improves. If not a ultrasound scan will be areanged.

Mimi will be warded at Atlas Vet. Blood test shows low neutrophils which vet suggest he is fighting a bad inflammation.

He will be warded to monitor if he response to treatment.

I will upload respective blood tests etc once available. Current bill without hospitalisation and include xray is estimated $600+. This is excluding hospitalisation.

Please help me to give mimi a chance to fight. This grumpy boy deserves so much more with his feeder auntie. She have lost the rest of the cats she's been feeding for decade and mimis the only one left due to her legs.

🚨 URGENT: Help Needed for Mimi’s Vet Visit 🐾
Mimi is an estimated 10-year-old cat from Ong’s kampong, mainly cared for by an elderly auntie in her 80s. I took over feeding from her during the COVID period, as auntie has leg issues and is only able to manage feeding Mimi.

This morning, auntie called me in a panic — she couldn’t find Mimi. I also couldn’t locate him last night, which is very unlike him. Normally, he will always appear at the sound of his feeding bell, even if he’s not hungry.

At noon, while I was nearby to catsit another cat, I went to look for him and managed to find Mimi. Auntie came down and carried him back to his usual spot, but something was very wrong.
He refused to eat both kibbles and wet food. He was walking slowly and kept trying to move away from his usual resting place. His eyes are also tearing quite badly. His morning feeder confirmed he didn’t eat earlier as well.

We have arranged for a vet visit tomorrow, but due to recent personal circumstances, I really need help to get him seen as soon as possible.
💔 Auntie is extremely worried about this boy, and it’s heartbreaking to see her so anxious. I truly hope we can bring Mimi to the vet earlier and give her some peace of mind.

🙏 If you are able to help, please consider donating via PayNow: 98232002
All vet bills and updates will be posted after the visit for full transparency.
Thank you so much for helping Mimi. Every bit counts. ❤️🐾

We bid goodbye to the super ah lian Waitao today.

Yesterday evening we received a call from uncle that waitao have passed away in her sleep. Our super ah lian whom bounced back from every issues life threw at her, did not bounced back this time.

Feeders have noted her to be around 18 or maybe even older. Back in 2024... one of our friends found her with a bleeding claw, and kids were seen trying to chase her down on their kickscooter... We scoop the old lady to the vet. And uncle stepped in to foster her for the recovery period. He never let her out since. It was the second senior he have helped me foster. First being shyshy.

Waitao had a strong character. She was extremely picky with food. Most days before going home w uncle involve me and my friend trying to figure out what food she wants for the day... but since going home with uncle. She kicked the picky habit. Probably she's the cat meant for him.

Waitao never had any major health issues despite being born with neurological issues that caused her head to crooked to one side. No one expected her to live this long even. One thing was she had really bad arthritis in the past 1 year. Some days she couldn't walk and uncle would carry her down to meet her friends.. and he would also massage her hind legs. That was their bond.

And despite losing waitao... she left memories in our heads.

; of her charging down the slide
; of her shashaying like a gangster
; of her biting uncle when he was carrying her and I was trying to cut her nails.

And we... will meet again. Soon one day. Just go enjoy playing with shyshy and pang pang... see you soon my super ah lian.

We are appealing for $400 to cover waitao cremation costs. If you are able to spare any amount please paynow to 98232002 and state for waitao. Thank you so much everyone.
