Cutie little revamp for a fun repeat client! Fun fact: I had this same customer’s sofa completely stripped two years ago when my son suffered a spinal cord injury. It was a nightmare situation. However, this customer is a physical therapy assistant and could not have understood more the predicament we were in.

In business since 2005, we specialize in bringing heirloom furniture back to life. Check back for sales of reupholstered items from our inventory!
Chairs, loveseats, sofas, cushions, built-in nooks for residential and commercial applications are our passion.
In a previous era, I used to work for a vinyl production company so I felt confident enough to apply my door graphics at my fabric studio. Please don’t bring a level to check my accuracy 😅
This was a literal roadside find that one of our very fun repeat customers brought to us. We will never get tired of waving our magic wand and transforming the rattiest and tattiest pieces of the past.
Had some time to kill and projects to finalize so an hour in my fabric studio was time well-spent! Shout out to and for keeping me library well-stocked!
This started out as a sad story. Ten years ago my team and I did the original upholstery on these booths at Galloway’s (my friend’s art deco cocktail bar in Fairhaven). The vinyl that was all the rage back then has proven to be the actual worst and it began peeling and flaking after just a handful of years. We redid the seats about 3 years ago but the backs just got sadder and sadder. I managed to convince all parties involved to try a dark, nubby, performance fabric on the backs and I couldn’t be more pleased with how they turned out. Thankful for my assistant Owen who helped speed the project along. Just a smidge more to do and the whole place will feel refreshed!
We’ve got some fun news over here! Introducing our new fabric studio! We moved our studio into Fairhaven to be able to meet with clients a bit easier and give ourselves more workspace back at Summerland headquarters. For being such a small space, we surprisingly have room to grow! We are open here by appointment 🤗
Some recent work completed for the Bellwether Hotel in Bellingham, WA. And Owen is mastering the overlocking machine!

I’ve become terrible at documenting my custom upholstery projects. I would say that I aim to be better in 2026 but I don’t think that’s entirely true. However, I am pretty pleased with these transformations. We have a lot of large projects in the queue for this year so I hope you’ll stay tuned and I hope I remember to bring you all along!

I don’t usually taken on sofas or loveseats because I don’t have the dedicated space to work on them, but last spring I said yes to this project. The client wasn’t ready to have them done until November which seemed waaaaaay off in the future. Cut to current day November and I’ve been working nonstop to get these out the door before Thanksgiving 😅

This makeover was a pleasure to do for my client who is expecting her first baby soon. Her mom reupholstered this family heirloom in the 80’s.
