The "social team" convinced me that this was a good idea. I'm sure this is exactly what Morris and Sam had in mind back in 1916.

Handmade silk roses in high speed. Each flower petal is cut and pressed using our vintage flower tools and then assembled by hand in our NYC atelier. 🌹🌺🌸

We recently welcomed a great group of Bronxville High School seniors to M&S Schmalberg through , , and for a behind-the-scenes look at the last remaining fabric flower factory in America.

The group got to see how our flowers are still handmade using vintage tools and techniques dating back generations and even tried a bit of flower making themselves.

There is always something special about introducing young people to a craft that has been alive here in New York since 1916.

After the experience, one guest selected these stunning hand dyed blossoms to become part of a floral arrangement for her home. We love seeing flowers made in our studio find a special place beyond fashion and events.
