𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆?
𝐇𝐒𝐁𝐀 proudly led a 32‑member delegation at the Asia Forum 2026, held in Beijing from 20–22 May, bringing together leaders and members across Asia.
𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟏 began with cultural immersion — a visit to Beijing’s Central Axis, symbolising the dialogue between history and modern transformation. Our Chairman 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐮 delivered welcome remarks during the Welcome Dinner, warmly greeting guests from around the world.
𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 opened with the Internal Meeting of Association and Chapter Heads across Asia, where HSBA President 𝐊𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧 shared ideas on cross association networking, partnerships, and youth leadership.
This was followed by the Beijing Chaoyang District Promotion Conference, highlighting opportunities in finance, education, culture, and tech. The discussions shared insights on China’s 15th Five‑Year Plan and the Belt and Road Initiative, alongside case studies of Chinese enterprises going global. The evening concluded with the HKCCC 33rd Anniversary Dinner, celebrating milestones and friendships.
𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟑 shifted to innovation: visits to the Xiaomi Automobile Super Factory, the Robot Mall, and Beijing’s autonomous driving demonstration zone, before ending with a vibrant walk through Sanlitun.

12 May 2026 HSBA Signs MOU with HKTDC at "Supporting Chinese Mainland Enterprises Going Global" Ceremony
HSBA is pleased to have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) at the "Supporting Chinese Mainland Enterprises Going Global" signing ceremony in Hong Kong today.
The MOU was signed by Mr. Man Kwan, our President, and Ms. Cheung, Assistant Executive Director of HKTDC.
Together, represents a market of more than 680 million people and an economy approaching US$4 trillion, making it one of the world’s fastest-growing economic regions. Through this collaboration, and will work together on business missions, market exchange, seminars, conferences, and cross-border business matching initiatives aimed at helping enterprises navigate and capture opportunities across the region.
The partnership also reflects HSBA’s longstanding mission of strengthening business connectivity between Hong Kong and Singapore, while supporting enterprises seeking growth opportunities across Asia’s rapidly evolving economic landscape.

𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲, the HSBA Chinese New Year Lohei Luncheon 2026 brought together government and business leaders, members, and friends at Carlton Hotel Singapore on 3 March, coinciding with the 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 (元宵节).
President 𝗞𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻 highlighted the Hong Kong–Singapore partnership as ASEAN’s gateway and China’s global bridge for capital, innovation, and growth. Chairman 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝘂 announced “𝘏𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬”, noting strong recovery in finance, IPOs, and tourism, while keynote speaker 𝗠𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗸 𝗥𝗮𝘆 (𝗛𝗦𝗕𝗖) shared insights on resilience and thriving amidst global transformation.
Guests joined the traditional Lohei toss with the blessing “马到成功” (𝘚𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘍𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘴), celebrating success, opportunities, and renewed partnerships.
We extended heartfelt thanks to 𝗛𝗞𝗘𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲, and 𝗛𝗞𝗧𝗗𝗖 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲, and 𝗬𝗮 𝗞𝘂𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 for their support. HSBA also expressed deep gratitude to 𝗠𝘀 𝗩𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗞𝗧𝗗𝗖 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲, for her 29 years of dedicated service.

HSBA Chairman Dennis Chiu led our members’ delegation to the 26th Hong Kong Forum (2–3 Dec), joining over 320 global leaders from 33 countries and regions to explore Hong Kong’s role as a super connector and value adder between the Chinese Mainland and international markets.
On 4–5 Dec, the team visited Foshan, China, meeting the mayor, officials, and business leaders. We invited them to join our upcoming HSBA x SBF Singapore–Johor SEZ Forum in July 2026.

HSBA Celebrates 31st Anniversary Gala Dinner
On 21 November 2025, the Hong Kong–Singapore Business Association welcomed 210 guests to its milestone gala at Carlton Hotel Singapore.
Organised under the theme of “The Celebration of Youth,” Guest of Honour Ms Cassandra Lee, Members of Parliament for West Coast–Jurong West GRC (Ayer Rajah) and one of the youngest MP in the PAP, delivered an inspiring speech on “Global Challenges and Opportunities Facing Youth Today.” Her message reinforced HSBA’s commitment to nurturing young talent through entrepreneurship and leadership initiatives.
We were honoured by the presence of distinguished government and business leaders, reflecting strong cross border support and strengthening ties between the Hong Kong and Singapore communities.
Guests enjoyed an elegant dinner, captivating performances by our homegrown singer, and a vibrant celebration of youth, innovation, and community.

Event Highlights: HSBA x HSBC Evening – Strategic Wealth Insights Over Wine
On 17 October 2025, HSBA and HSBC co-hosted an exclusive evening at HSBC’s headquarters in MBFC Tower 2, bringing together members and guests for strategic dialogue and investment insights.
The evening opened with a warm welcome from HSBA Vice President Maple Ye, who introduced the Association’s mission and ongoing initiatives to support its members and foster meaningful partnerships.
Following the welcome, guests enjoyed two insightful presentations on HSBC’s 2026 Investment Outlook. Mr. Kalvin Tee shared highlights from HSBC’s investment value chain, product portfolio, and a market flashback, while Ms. Anna Zhou offered a forward-looking market outlook and practical portfolio examples. Together, they provided well-rounded views of investment opportunities and strategies for the year ahead.
Guests enjoyed the highly interactive Q&A session, and showed strong interest in our upcoming HSBA 31st Anniversary Gala Dinner and overseas business missions.

HSBA x GBA: Innovation, Education, and Cross-Border Partnerships (7–11 October 2025)
Led by Chairman Mr. Dennis Chiu, the HSBA delegation completed a four-and-a-half-day visit across the Greater Bay Area. Beginning with the 10th Raffles Family Office Annual Forum in Hong Kong, Members explored key insights shaping the future of wealth management in Asia.
In Nansha (Guangzhou), the delegation was warmly welcomed by HSBA’s First Patron, Mr. Leung Chun-ying, former Chief Executive, HK Government SAR and Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), alongside Mr. Liu Wei, Secretary of the CPC Nansha District Committee.
The delegates explored cutting-edge developments in biotech, AI, and smart mobility through visits to Guangdong Medical Valley 醫穀, Jointek Global Logistics Park 駿德物流園, Su Yuan Global Digital Infrastructure Hub 溯源全球數字基礎設施樞紐, Greater Bay Technology 巨灣技研電池, GAC Group Govy Aircab 廣汽高域, CloudWalk Technology 雲從科技, and iFlytek 科大訊飛.
Educational exchanges at HKUST 香港科技大學(Guangzhou) and Minxin Hong Kong School 廣州南沙民心港人子弟學校highlighted the region’s growing integration of academic innovation with practical industrial application. Members also received a warm welcome from Dr. P**n Suk-han, Halina, Head of Minxin Hong Kong School.Additionally, members attended the lecture “Artificial Intelligence: Past, Present, and Future” by Prof. Heung-Yeung Shum, IAS Professor-at-Large Emeritus and Adjunct Professor at Tsinghua University.
HSBA continues to promote meaningful collaboration and innovation-led engagement across the Greater Bay Area.
