At the Singapore Climate Transition Forum 2026, we were proud to have SFIC President, Joshua Koh, join industry leaders in discussing the real challenges businesses face in navigating sustainability adoption and evolving ESG expectations.

One key takeaway from the discussions was the importance of practical pathways, stronger capabilities and credible sustainability standards — areas we continue to support through initiatives such as the Sustainability Furniture Mark (SFM).

The event also featured an MOU signing ceremony, graced by SMS Low Yen Ling, welcoming more TACs into the Sustainability Alliance and reinforcing the importance of stronger cross-industry collaboration moving forward.

We brought together a full house of 20 SFIC Young Leaders for an engaging wine tasting and networking session on 1 April.

Graciously hosted by WineFridge SG, participants explored a curated selection of six wines – from refreshing Rosés to bold Amarone, ending on a sweet Sauternes – sparking lively conversations throughout the evening.

The session offered a relaxed setting for emerging leaders to connect and exchange ideas.

As part of the next phase of Orchard Road’s evolution, plans are underway to maintain its appeal as a must-visit lifestyle destination with fun and differentiated experiences for everyone.

Alongside plans for more new attractions and lifestyle offerings such as the revamped *Scape, new music venue at Grange Road, Orchard Road is also being enhanced as a lush green corridor with pockets of public spaces and greenery.

Jointly organised by URA and the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC), the Orchard Road Bench Design Competition offers designers a unique opportunity to reimagine the Orchard Road street experience through creative, innovative street bench concepts that will create new focal points and a memorable experience along the Orchard Road pedestrian mall.

Eight winning designer(s)/teams will be paired with appointed manufacturers to bring their bench designs to life along Orchard Road.

SFIC and Singapore Retailers Association have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen workforce capabilities across the furniture and retail sectors.

From AI to social commerce and livestreaming, this partnership focuses on helping businesses adapt to how people live, shop and experience spaces today.
