$35 quarts EVERY time!! Ask to open a business account (no LLC or payment or anything needed)! When you go to buy your paint say it’s for your business and they will drop the price of your paint! You just need a phone number and name! I get Emerald Urethane Enamel in satin- no topcoat needed! Sand, prime, then do 2-3 coats of emerald urethane and it’ll dry rock hard! The ONLY con I’ve noticed with some colors (like black and dark gray) is it will leave finger prints on the paint. This is why I will always pick one hour enamel over this, but if I need a local paint asap this does a great job! Ask any questions below!
… and 30+ hours 😭. The amount of times I’ve lost money on flips is humbling 🤪
Painted wood staircase!! The previous owners painted our wooden staircase black, and while they did a great job, I just don’t have much black furniture so it always kind of clashed! Rather than strip it all down I took the easy way and used ! The primer is made with actual wood particles that make the surface stainable. They also have a wood grain tool that you can use to make wood grain texture, which is honestly so fun to do! Comment “Stairs” for links to what I used!! Save this post for the steps below:
1.) Clean well with denatured (or rubbing alcohol) to prep for primer
2.) Use retique it light wood primer 2 coats
3.) use one layer of gel stain in the color picked oak and run the wood grain tool through it while wet
4.) apply another light layer of pickled oak gel stain
5.) using a sock, rub in gel stain alternative in the color pecan
6.) put a later of matte tripletique topcoat on for extra protection!
